Hey Myles, something to look into: check the ride heights of those who have seen cracked plates; perhaps it's a result of coil bind. The V3's use 7" front springs, IIRC, so it's plausible. (And that'd generate the momentarily high peak forces that would crack even a stout design.)

Yep, I did ask that question. If the ride height is too low, that and, combined with a large pot hole. The op does ask that question as though maybe he hit a large pot hole and or says that his roads are crappy.

Certainly not the norm by a long shot.

It's actually the case of too high of a ride height that is worse, though both are bad. If set too low, you're at least still bottoming out on the bump stops. That might put 2000lbs on the strut top for 0.1 seconds. But if the ride height is too high and the coil spring binds before hitting the bump stops, you might get a 10,000lb spike for 0.02 seconds. That's 5x the force for 1/5th as long (so same overall momentum resisted), but the higher peak is what'll break stuff. (Of course, both situations are bad!)

Anyway, just speculating.

Thanks for the helps from Myles. I should be getting the replacement parts soon!

Thanks!

Hi,

My ride heigh is at approx 13.75" at the front. And yes, there are quite a bit of pot holes around my area all years long, but the I was on my snow tires/All season which are suppose to be able to absob more..!

I have to admit I know very little, and I have not track my car yet with the KW V3 Setup.

What is the difference between earlier version and the new revision of the RCE camber plate?

The new version uses an inset style nut. We wanted that for more thread engagement for use with coilovers. The old version works fine, but like any motorsport part if a large pothole is encountered and or if a car hits a curb, or if you manage to get major air, you can damage the camber plate. In this case he just needs new bearing housings.

purchased:

RCE black springs
whiteline sways (F&R)
Group-N tophats
kartboy endlinks (R)

Installed by P&L in Franklin Park, IL. Myles did a fantastic job helping to select the right parts for me, which cured my complaints completely with the stock suspension. Order was processed quickly and i received the parts in a timely manner. items were packaged well and shipped via DHL.

would do business with again!

Everytime I have delt with them its been great service across the board. Even when somethings showed up and I checked the box before my install day and realized some stuff was missing, called them up they shipped it out and it was at my house 2 days latr. without question or hassle, I was very impressed!

Great guys, very knowledgeable too which is also great when you are buying parts to have someone that actually knows about the parts on the other end of the phone to help you out. And a company that truly participates on the forums
