RCE has been very straight up with me and very responsive. I've purchased from them so far: RCE Tarmac 2's, KB endlinks, WL rear sway, Cusco rear camber plates & WL front camber plates. Do all these components function perfectly first time installed together? No. But, I've called RCE and had Myles on the phone on his day off giving me tips. PM's are answered that day - thanks Dan & Andrew. This vendor works with me on making multiple components work together. So far it's a big thumbs up from me.

Default Myles from Racecomp...just met him, great guy!!

Just wanted to let everyone know about my experience with meeting Myles at an autocross in Harrisburg, PA today. So I am sitting in my car waiting in grid and this guy comes up and says how do you like your RCE springs. I told him I love them and he introduced himself as Myles from RCE.

He asked for my feedback and i was really impressed that he honestly wanted to know what his customers like. esp after the sale. Their customer service is top notch and it starts with Myles. To have a vendor be so involved with his customers is awesome.

He even drove a car with his suspension at the Auto X......

I'll let him chime in on the results of his driving

Well just as everyone has said Myles is a top notch dude and enthusiast!!!

LOL...yeah I finished 3rd or 4th out of 10 in that class. Not hateful for my first autocross in 19 years !! Since then I have had 4 road racing wins , 4 second places and 2 third places in NASA, SCCA and IMSA, so it might take me a little while to adapt to autocrossing again !!

Nice meeting you too man......I will let you know about what we talked about

I will be out at autocrosses and more track events and talking to more clients. We plan on autocrossing our GF8 when its done. On of our employees is buying a new STI so that will be our test bed for new products.

Myles

With supension and a STU protune I hopefully compete with Adam and Dave and those York guys

I will probably not be at next weeks event due to a wedding, but if i can get a pass from the wife theres a chance I will be there.

I will be attending State's in September

Wanted to post up as it's been resolved. My springs were still going to be a couple+ weeks so Myles took the initiative to call me and offer to refund my money. They made good on their part and allowed me an acceptable solution (since i was able to find them somewhere else luckily). I have to say despite the problems earlier they made good on their part and came through in the end. Thanks for being an honest business, and hopefully my next order won't be a special order item. Their knowledge on sti suspension is pretty much unbeatable.

Good source for parts. They stick by their advertised internet prices, follow up well, and refuse to sell crap. While their prices are generally good, they may not be the lowest. You are paying for knowledge here. If you buy from them, it a) won't be cheap knockoff junk and b) you can call them anytime (myles even posts his personal cell # from time to time) with random suspension questions and they will be happy to speak with you.

I ordered a bunch of stuff from them and the available items were shipped promptly. They were having delay upon delay with their new springs (which I don't blame them for). My plans for the car changed and they took care of me.

They provided great input on brake pads and other parts, etc.

I would definately do business with them again.

Just wanted to add some great info about GTworx/Racecomp Engineering, they now have a factory certified Subaru tech working for them. His name is Jeff and has done all the work on my WRX and RS, and its always great. Between Myles knowledge of performance handling & braking and Jeffs factory training they are even better than before.

You can also call them for normal maintenance work if you don't want to have a dealer touch your modified car. And I'll bet their prices will be better than the dealer too.

Ordered some pads from them. No problems at all. They were also helpful when asked about some other parts and their applications

Thumbs up MY RCE Tarmac II Issues and Great Support from Myles and Co.

So, I have had one or two people ask me to write this up. Up front I want to say that I don't think that Myles or RCE should come out of this looking bad. On the contrary they were exemplary in their service to me when they could easily have told me to go bark up a tree. Anyway, on to my story.

I had installed the RCE Tarmac II's and was starting to get used to them. I autox with 3 local clubs fairly regularly in STU class. I was on my way up to an event in wisconsin in August. I was rolling along the interstate when I noticed a noise coming from the front end. As I went over more bumps the noise got louder and louder. Then the steering got a bit funny. I then pulled over to the shoulder. As it was raining I pulled underneath an overpass. When I got out I saw that my left front wheel had about 20 degrees of camber. Uh oh. I popped the hood to investigate further.

What had happened was that the top nut on my left front strut had stripped out. The nut came off the shaft and allowed it to float freely. When I pulled over the shaft of the strut was completely out of the camber plate and wedged up into the wheel well. Once I realized I was going no where quickly, I called my brother, sent him to my house and had him bring me tools and the OEM left front strut. I changed the strut out on the side of the road and then drove home. Once home I changed back to the stock struts.

After changing out the struts I emailed Myles. Within a half an hour of my email I got a call on my cell phone from him. Myles was top notch, we discussed why this happened as well as what to do to fix it.

I think that there are a number of causes for the failure I encountered. First I had issues with getting the top nut tight on the front struts. When I asked RCE about this they suggested tightening the top nuts while the car was on the ground. This is what I did. As far as I know, they no longer advise to do this. The other issue is that I have the RCE lowering plates, and was probably a bit too aggressive with lowering and camber. I think that the top spring perch may have been contacting the camber plate and that may have caused some binding/bending loads to be placed on the shaft. I also think that the fact that you don't get full engagement of the top nuts on the lowering camber plates may have contributed to this. It looks like the current version of RCE camber plates does allow full engagement of the nut. I may be looking into these in the future.

In any case, Myles' customer service and support was top notch. He got in contact with KW, and had the shaft on the strut replaced free of charge. He also sent me all the parts that were littered on the side of the interstate when the incident happened free of charge.

With everything I've said, I don't want this to be taken as any bashing of Myles or the RCE team. Actually I think it is more of a compliment to them and their philosophy for customer service. It would have been very easy for them to tell me that they were sorry for what happened, and here's the bill for the parts you need. Myles was great, called me back on a sunday morning, and really understood what I was going through. With the support they have shown, I will be searching their site for any parts I need first. Even if their price is slightly higher, I will pay the premium for the support after the sale.

Really I can't say enough about how well Myles came through for me.

Now some notes:
- I would have posted this in the coilover failures thread courtesy of zzyzzx, but that degenerated into pointless flaming rather quickly. I would appreciate if this thread did not have the same fate.
- Myles and his crew have done an awesome job with the T2's. I honestly feel that if I had the T2's on for the whole season my season class and index finishes would have been higher.
- Finally this post has been brought to you by the letters T, number 2, and a nice glass of Edradour 10 year scotch. Cheers!
