We got some of the staticx hood dampeners for one of our STis and these things are the coolest mod for the money in my opinion. When fitting them to the car, Robert told us that the dampeners might be a little tight, almost like they were siezed. He suggested we push them in and out a few times before the installation to make it easier to bring the hood down the first time. They work like a charm. A+ Customer service.

Thumbs up Two thumbs up once again!

Just got my NRG hood dampers from Rob. Since he was coming down to Topspeed in Atlanta this past weekend he even delivered them to my friend that was getting his car tuned too! I have been and will continue to be a repeat buyer! Thanks a million Rob!

Thumbs up Another satisfied (and will be repeat) customer!!

Most of the time I am very thorough and calculated when it comes to ordering new parts for my STi and rarely do I rush anything. Patience is a virtue. Along with that, one of my mottos is "Failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part." Most people understand it.

I have known for a while that I would be purchasing the APS Twin Tip 3" TBE but due to other financial commitments with higher priorities I did not know when, or even from whom.

Things sort of fell into place yesterday financially and I was finally able to allocate enough to the budget (and yes, convince the wife to not complain too much) that I was able to afford them. Problem is that I will be going out of town in a few days which means I had to either find a supplier last night or do without for a couple weeks while I am away. Waiting I suppose wouldn't have been that big of a deal but of course being a little excited about it I figured I'd at least give it a shot.

I called quite a few suppliers of APS parts, some I got answers from and some I did not. I might point out that I contacted most of the ones on APS's site listed as authorized dealers, whether it was via phone or email. I got ahold of a few but the news was nothing good. If I got answers (most I did not hear from) they all informed me that I was either going to have to pay out the yang for expedited shipping or I wouldn't be able to get them in enough time to install and "experience" them before I leave for business.

I had about given up but my good friend nhluhr directed me StaticXMotorsports' way. I contacted him (late at night I might add) and whereas most others would call it quits around 5-ish, StaticX (Robert) was more than willing to help. I'm sure he has a life but he was more than happy to converse with me (without delay) to answer my questions and informed me that he would more than likely be able to get me my desired exhaust in 2 days with some effort. Because it was late, he was going to have to do it the next day (today). I went to place my order that evening but he found an issue that the dual tip muffler wasn't listed and he also fixed that on the spot (before I was even able to find the issue when placing my order). I continued my order and he personally confirmed that it was received and suggested I contact him the next day (today) to find out what he was able to work out.

I of course contacted him and he said he was working on getting APS on the phone to locate one so that I could receive it timely without any shipping charges either!! He later told me that he located one and went through all the required paperwork / steps to have it sent to me from a different location.

I received the tracking number and it is on its way to my house - shipped today. I can't express enough how happy I am with this entire transaction. If you are considering ordering from multiple suppliers and StaticX is on that list, they should be at the top and if they aren't on that list, they damn well should be.

X

Robert, thank you for making my failure to plan and lack of patience your emergency.

I've seen a lot of praises and thankyous directed towards Robert (Static X), but I would have to say this is the icing on the cake. Very well put avatarr! I was in a bit of a bind as well with needing a few parts before getting tuned. Rob bent over backwards to get me the parts I needed on time.

StaticX just received another very satisfied customer. Talked to Rob last week on a product and messaged back in a quick and informative manner. He assured me when to expect my order. Within less than 3-4 business days, I received the order. The item was well packaged and came in excellent condition. I must admit. When the people at StaticX say that they put the people first, they mean exactly that. Thanks again Rob!

Default Robert at Static X - resolved 11-5-2005

Are you still with us, Robert? I've been patient and tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you've not extended me the courtesy of promptness that is deserved.

I ordered a grounding kit from Static X a few months ago. Delivery was very prompt (2 days from date of order) and installation was a snap.

On October 5, I contacted Robert to express concern about the insulation/jacket fading on the wires. They started a bright blue and have now faded to a light green. Robert assured me after seeing pictures that this was "completely unacceptable" and wanted to send me a replacement kit. Fine. I wrote back stating my new color choice and shipping address.

October 18 rolls around and I've not heard anything from Robert concerning my kit. I send him a polite e-mail and PM to inquire about the replacement. He's been busy with filling other orders, but promises to "get on it first thing in the morning (Oct. 19)". Fine.

October 26 rolls around, still no word from Robert and no grounding kit. Another PM and another e-mail from me. Now an e-mail from Robert (Oct. 28) stating "It will go out in the morning for you." Still no kit today. I e-mail and PM Robert yesterday at 11:30 in the morning to inquire about a tracking number. No response. I take this to mean the kit has not shipped yet.

My replacement kit is no less important than other orders you have to fill. If anything, what this shows me is you are quick to sell a product, but slow to stand behind it. All I ever wanted was to be taken care of in a prompt manner and you have failed. I would appreciate some sincere customer service and no more lip service.

I have e-mails and PM's to back all this up. So if anybody thinks this is fabricated or exaggerated, I can supply you with documentation.

Edited to show resolution to this issue. Content is unchanged.

i don't think anyone here will say it's fabricated, but i am sure that Robert is swamped, (with the move and business).

although i agree that you should have gotten your replacement, maybe a phone call to him the day he's supposed to ship your things is better than a rant?

not trying to pick a fight here...

I've looked and did not see a phone number. I saw a fax number, AIM names, and e-mail address. I would rather call and just get this over with. No, a rant is in order here. I'd rather he told me it was going to be a month before I got any service than to keep telling me "it'll be going out tomorrow". How do you account for that? He told me he's busy. I should be part of the "busy", don't you think?

I don't have AIM (for one, chat programs are prohibited at my work). I have used e-mail and PM's here. The only thing I know to do is write a note and fax it to him. There's an idea.

He said there may have been a bad run of the blue. Which is fine, just stand behind it. BTW, faxes don't go through to the number they have listed. So, I guess I'm stuck with e-mail and PM's.

he was pretty slow about getting my grounding kit out too after looking back through my e-mails and pms here is what happened to me.
I placed my order on 4-14 for a blue kit he gets back to me and lets me know that he is out of blue and wants to know if there is another color that I would be interested in. No biggie so I get back to him and tell him red will be fine. He sends me an e-mail on 4-25 saying the kit will be shipped out first thing in the morning. I think after a week or so goes by I send him an e-mail seeing if the kit has been shipped out, I don't get an e-mail back so on 5-2 I send him a pm, still don't hear anything so on 5-7 I send him another pm asking for a tracking # or my money back. I never got another e-mail or pm from him but the kit finally did arrive, I can't remember how much longer it took though.
I didn't write up a review on it because of how everyone raves on his customer support, I thought maybe I just had a bad experience.

Keith is absolutely right. It has taken a long time to fill his replacement order. It was finished today and I have a shipping number today, I just (unfortunately so) did not have a tracking # for him in time to prevent this negative feedback due to an exam this afternoon . Each time I told him I would get it done, it did not get done and we are extremely sorry about that as things kept coming up. This is not an excuse for what happened and we accept full responsibility for this.

So we are deeply sorry about this Keith and we have your grounding kit tracking # ready for you. The kit will be there in 2 days and we are again sorry about the delay with your replacement. You have not been put on the backburner as I had about 12 orders go out today that all should have been done faster, but that is where things will improve when I can hire help. I have been swamped and we will work harder to get things like this taken care of faster.

Please, most of all, do not think that you were put on the backburner. You are as important as a new order and we simply have just been behind. You were e-mailed your tracking #.

We hope you accept this apology and we hope to serve you better in the future. Thank you

Robert~
