It seems that many people are sympathetic with StaticX's moving situation. Personally, I think it's sorry excuse and one that they've been using for months! Yes, MONTHS! 3 weeks for dp wrap? C'mon guys. I could have ordered it off ebay, waited for it to arive at my house, and then turned around and shipped it SickSTi04 within 1.5 weeks at most. Having said that, Robert seems like a great guy and I think it is awesome that he has a successful business at a relatively young age. You guys just need to do a little better on the customer service side. Take it for what it's worth.

Default My Problems with STatic X Motorsports

As some of you know from my member journal.... on 3/20/06 I ordered a crank pulley and a grounding kit from them. I recieved the pulley and have been nothing but happy with it....... BUT, I never recieved the ground kit. Between then and now, I have emailed them a dozen times asking what is going on with the kit. Each time Robert Schwarz (owner) has responded "Oh we are sorry for the delay..... I will get one out to you asap, and refund you the cost due to your long wait...... etc, etc, etc.

Well here it is 4/27...... And my last few emails have gone unresponded... SO, I sent them one final (not so nice email)

Here is my correspondence with SXM.... At this point I will never order from them again. And I dont recommend them as a good company to deal with. Ill shop somewhere else from now on...... angry.gif

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Static X Motorsports,

Hello again... I have been trying to contact someone for the past few weeks regarding a gounding kit that i purchased for an 06 sti. I have been sent a few emails apologizing for the delay and telling me that I would be refunded and sent a kit ASAP due to my long wait etc...... I ordered and payed for the kit on 3/20/2006. My order # is/was 341. I have yet to recieve the order and I have seen no emails regarding shipping or order confirmation.

At this point, I amexpecting someone to "personallty contact" (phone call) me regarding the shipping and/or full refund of this order.

FYI... I am a donating silver member of IWSTI, NASIOC, ans OHIO SUBARUS forums. I have been journaling every part, install, etc that I do with my sti. Also, every manufacturer that I have dealt with has been reviewed along the way. I would like to give STATIC X MOTORSPORTS a good vender review.... However, I will be posting today regarding this rediculous situation regarding my order. At this point, I dont feel I will do business with your company again, nor will I recommend your company to anyone else in the future.

I feel that this matter has gone on long enough, and my order issues were not handled in a professional matter.

I am expecting to hear from you soon regarding this matter...

As of 4/28/06.... If I do not hear from you, I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau with your information, reciept of my order, and copies of the dated emails. I do understand having a busy schedule, company problems, etc....... but this situation has gotten rediculous.

Sincerely,

Jon Yaeger

Im emailing you to see if the grounding kit has been shipped out yet. Do you have a tracking/confirmation number for me? Also, I have not seen the refund on my online statement yet. I thought I would just check up on how things were going since the last email....

Let me know...

Jon,

We appreciate your patience very much. I cannot believe this has not been resolved yet. Let us refund you, make up your kit, overnight it and then when it arrives you can pay for it if you'd like, so we do not further hinder you as you've been more then patient. We've had some major issues with employees as we've moved into our new place, so I apologize greatly for the problems at hand and will get you taken care of immediately. Thank you very much Jon.

God Bless,

Just to let you know..... I have yet to recieve the ground kit and/or refund that you promised. I know that shipping can sometimes take a while. However, I would be happier if had a confirmation # in which to track the package. I would appreciate any information you can give me. I hope the kit did actually get shipped...? .

I am hoping to give you company a good review in my STi member install journal at IWSTI. I have been posting full reviews and installs of every part, install, gtg, dyno, that I do. I have waited to write a review of your crank pulley, because I want to install the g kit and pulley at the same time

Let me know...... Thanks
Jon Yaeger

I had the same exact problems with him, and it is very annoying. He kept telling me he was gonna give me a refund for my wait but since he sponsered the site i told him i didnt want the money. But after all is said and done i should have just gotten the refund...

I dont know why some people get good business from them and some dont. I think he takes better care of the big order customers or something.

Jon,
I don't know but I would recommend taking out the email addresses (or at least changing their textual form). The last thing you want is more spam as a result of data mining of sites for email addresses and next thing you know you are getting the latest and greatest method for increasing your "P3n IS sI ze".

I am sorry to hear of your difficulties and hopefully Robert can catch up.

I ordered a dp wrap kit on 3.29.06, it arrived today, 4.29.06. It took so long to get that not only did I use a different brand of wrap, but I forgot I even ordered from him. I recieved no email from them explaining their situation. Not very impressive in my book.

Now I have 50' of unopened wrap, and $76 for the four clamps I'm going to use is ignorant.

Figure out your shipping in a hurry or you're gonna lose business. You haven't lost mine yet, but you're close...

I was going to wait a little longer until I posted but it seems that other people are havuing troubles with them (STATIC X) as well. Here's my situation.

I ordered an APS CAI from Robert a while ago and he was very helpful, always respondidng to my emails and the transaction went smoothly. The same day I ordered, I went to the local Tuner and he was telling me that they had seen better performance and better results from the K&N Thyphoon so I emailed static X back to cancel My order. They said they would cancel my order but would prefer to send me a check of the refund as apposed to just cancelling the credit card payment because they would get another charge for that so I went along with it. Waited for about a week and never got my refund and I pretty much forgot about it until it came time to order my APS TBE. I looked around and no one seemed to have it in stock or could get it in any faster than Static X.

We sent numerous emails back and fourth about product information and so on and decided on the end product (catless and they would wrap it for me). I then asked " I'm not sure if you guys have sent out my refund but if not, would it be possible to just add that refund to the price of the exhaust order). I was expcting to hear that the refund was already on the way since it had been a week and a half now but Instead they said sure, we'll discount the order for the price of the Intake. I was surprised to see that they hadn't even sent it out yet but none the less, as long as I got the refund in some way shape or form I was happy. They confirmed that the exhaust was in stock last week (4/26/06) and they just needed to get a quote from FED ex (I wanted it shipped overnight). That same day I setup a tuning date for this upcoming saturday (05/06/06) because I figured it would be here by then. That was the last email I recieved from StaticX and I have been emailing them just about every other day but they have not responded at all. I havent even paid for the exhaust yet becuase they said they were going to put up a private link on their site with my discounted price so I'm still waiting for that. I now had to cancel my tuning appointment and I hope I dont get charged $150.00 for a cancelation fee...then I'll really be ticked. On top of that they still have my Money from the last order. I'm not mad that I havent recieved anything yet, I just want to know what's going on. If I knew that I wasnt going to get the exhaust this week I could have saved 150.00 if I canceled the appointment earlier but I never heard anything back from them so I just had to keep waiting. I'm still being patient with them because I have read what others experiences have been and they seem like a great place to buy from but in my situation so far they have dropped the ball.
