IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2004 | didn't have any problems with my fpgreen. i know their customer service sucks, but just because one person posted a bad thread about their experience doesn't mean we all have to suffer the same. i've seen plenty of fp reds on here making 500whp with no problems..besides fitment. |

| STI Driver Feedback Score: 0 reviews | So far I've seen one guy with albeit a huge problem and a bunch of bandwagon jumpers proclaiming they'll never buy one. If mine blows up then so be it you can all point in laugh but this thread looks more to me like a bunch of grief over one persons experience. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 | I am in management for customer service and this guy made a fatal error. Even if I feel a customer might be bs-ing me if I dont have %100 proof I have to side with the customer. Good customer service is giving the customer the benefit of the doubt and making them happy. As FP will find out its much better in the long run to take a small hit and make the customer happy, then to take a massive hit from bad PR spread all over the internet. That being said I have plans to upgrade to a bigger turbo in the future, you can bet your *** I am NOT going with FP. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2005 | actually im not sitting here screaming that ill never buy fp's products because of a few faulty turbos. hell i wouldnt buy it because they have crappy service apparently. i live near mckinney where fp is and i still wouldnt buy there turbos. i'd hate to buy one and have it crap out on me and have them try to screw me over or treat me the same way they did majin. im sorry but that right there would almost force me to go down there and handle it my way. its one thing to sell crappy products, but its another thing to sell crappy products and not help someone out when something seems fishy bout your products. if it was only one turbo that failed and he made all this noise about it then i would probly side with fp, but since he had 2 turbos back to back pretty much fail on him; i dunno either there turbos suck or his motor is jacked up. since majin told the backstory of his maintenance and i would say id give him somewhat of my trust(never wronged me) id say its something with the turbo. bottom line crappy products is no reason for crappy service. good job majin on documenting everything and i hope this is in some way vindicating. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2006 | I read the whole thread and have to agree that FP did not handle the situation well. Maj was IMHO completely reasonable with his request and not looking to screw FP in any way. What happened was that he ended up screwed by FP. As for any "happy" FP owners I would consider myself one of them with an asterisk. I'm running an 18g from FP and like it so far with about 5k miles on it. Now the asterisk. When I ordered it they took over a month to build it and they kept promising me finish dates which would invariably go by with no notice via any means. Finally got it after seven weeks. Later on I inquired about a wheel change on it for some more power and via three different people during three different calls they never answered me about whether they could even do it for me. All they did was keep trying to sell me more turbos. One of them even had the sack to tell me I screwed up putting an 18g in an STI and didn't know why anyone would do that. This after I explained that it's a daily driver and I also do auto-x and needed something with fast spool. So to make a short story long I like the one I have but will never buy another one. My setup is a little out of the ordinary but I was made out to be an idiot for it. When I order up a snail I will wait for it if theres a good reason especially if I'm kept in the loop. And I'll add that a little extra cabbage spent on a turbo or any other item is well worth the good service that should come with it. My .02. YMMV |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 | I must say ive been debating about what turbo to buy. My interests were fp green, 20g or go bigger with the gt30r, dom3 or gt52. I decided just to go a bit smaller and go with a 20g but really wanted a fp green “ maybe used” even though ive read many stories about there customer service and there product’s. Guess what fp green is out of the equation now. Majin: I know how you feel, about feeling like you were ripped off after trying and making thing right. Same thing happened to me back in my DSM days after buying a stage 3 motor from Slow Boy Racing and spending over $3,500 and just getting a kick in the ***. “But there is no reason to get in to that” I’m sure you will love the dom3, read lots of good things about it. Good luck back to the drawing board.. I must add just one more thing, About FP they are one of the larges turbo companies and have sold more 20g and green than any other distributor out there “from what ive heard”. With that you will get more failer than a company that sells hand full of turbos compared to hundred’s. But that’s is no excuse for the customer service that alone make me not want one of there turbo’s. |
