Second, I truly hope this thread serves the purpose of driving customers away from FP. From the list of people already viewing this thread, I'm fairly certain that will happen. I wish FP all the luck in the world...

That's too bad, Majin.

Customer service should be #1 priority. I mean, TWO turbos and a cold shoulder!?!? What a shame.

At least you found a stand-up company in the end.

What a mess FP took you thru.

What kinda of costumer service is that? I must say you documented that all very well. It's a shame that you had to go thru such garbage! FP is a big and well known turbo company for our subies. Is this the kinda of crap that we want to deal with? I know for sure that I don't want to deal with some shady costumer service, esp when you take into account the amount of money you'd have to invest in it and time!!!

I'm sorry this ended the way it did for you but am happy that you did find a company that will stand behind a product that they build! A company that stands behind a product they made even after it failed SAYS A LOT! FP surely lost potential costumers with this ugly example of their service.

FP shame on you.

wow... i would have though that FP would have made it right. they did not even offer to fix the 20g, but send it back to you "ruined". thats like a kick in the teeth...

this is very unfortunate, because i have always like the FP20g and Green, and were contenders if i ever did a turbo swap. This post will surly sway me to a dom series turbo.

A big thing with me in high cost products is not price, its service.

I understand lemons, and that it sucks when you get 1 or in your case 2. But one thing I will not tolerate is shabby customer service and companies that wont make it right with you. FP will never see my business.

wow.. I deff do not want a FP turbo anymore. 2 thumgs down I think that is a poor way for them to handel the situation. Obviously they don't want to admit that they are wrong. They want us STi owners to buy FP green products still. What complete garbage. FP can shove their turbos you know where They handled the situation so poorly. Their customer service is horribile. The customer is always right!

He's basically telling you to buy a BB turbo here:
Quote:
If this is happening on your car you would not see a lubrication problem with a BB turbo if since they do not have the same oil feed requirements as our floating bearings and Monster thrust bearing which also consumes much more oil than a stock thrust bearing.

Being that I cannot point out where your actions damaged this turbo specifically, other than evidence of failure to float the bearings with sufficient oil pressure and the resulting contact and wear that occurred to the bearings which I will not fault you for since you used our oil feed line, we can cover the repair/replacement of this turbo under our warranty.
I obviously don't know as much about turbos as Robert but how can you recommend, stand behind and continue to build a product that you know has oil consumption problems and has proven to require an oil supply which the ej257 oil system cannot supply?

Money is more important to FP, obviously.
