i think people liked the low price but i would say price vs having a running car if something goes wrong can easily be worth a couple hundred for service.

price means nothing if you end up having to buy 2, and get 2 tunes.

Majin,

Thank you very much for the heads up, greatly appreciated information. I was one week from purchasing a FPgreen but this thread has changed my mind. I refuse to deal with with lackluster customer service.

I want to upgrade once, not twice.

Again, thank you very much I never realized.

Woot! Another couple of bucks that FP is screwed out of! I also got M.K STi to not want the FP green anymore either!

Majin, got any updates since this thread started?

While I agree that FP could/should have done more in terms Majin's situation, I think we should all keep our perspective in line.

While I agree that if someone you know asks for your personal recommendation on what turbo to go with, give it to them how you should see fit.

If you aren’t giving the recommendation to FP, then say I would go with xxx turbos because of xxx reasons.

However, we should not be all jumping on the "lets destroy/take down FP" bandwagon and bad mouth FP for how they handled this one particular situation every chance we get.

Remember, there are a lot of other people out there running FP turbos and are happy!

Exactly, ya never know! That's why people need to keep their perspective on this.

If their turbo blows (no pun intended) and they post it up, that will be even more evidence to us that FP is not the best choice out there AT THE MOMENT!

But, as one person said, EVERY companies has their moments from time to time.

I just hope that FP can learn from this and make the necessary changes to improve going forward!

Remember not every company can be all things to all people. And there is always two sides to every story. Majin did a great job of doc. everything that went on between them.

However, he doesn't know what FP true resasons are behind the scenes.

Trust me, I'm in no way trying to defend FP for how they handled the situation nor am I trying to justify it.

Just want to make sure that we keep a certain level of respect on the table.

I agree. There are WAY more happy FP turbo owners than there are upset ones. WAY more! This situation wasn't handled properly without a doubt. But to claim that every turbo they make is garbage is a little overboard. I was once a happy FP turbo owner. My constant hunger for more power led me from my Red to a 35R. Had nothing to do with the turbo itself. It was awesome while I had it. All of the other options mentioned in this thread have had negative reviews before. Over on Legacygt.com there is a big thread where Jerry at Deadbolt handled a similar situation much the same way that this one was handled. Yet, on IWSTI, you can do no wrong with a Deadbolt turbo. They all have issues from time to time and all manufacturers mis-handle customers from time to time. It's just the nature of the beast. Totally sucks for Maj and I hate it for him none the less.
