I'm confused about exactly when the oil screen came out as well.
I will say that I had a FP Red on my car for 15,000 trouble free miles running close to 28psi the entire time. I opted for a 35R when I built my motor. As far as I know, the guy that bought it from me is still using it trouble free.
I do think that for the most part that FP's customer service needs some upgrades.

FWIW,

I took it as Majin was told via Mr. Young that the turbo's problems were due to the TSB about oil starvation to the turbo.

Majin documented the removal and inspection of the filter screen with his repair shop.

Upon removal, the screen was clean and NOT obstructed and sitting in it's proper location (they can drop out of location).

Therefore, this was another indication that the oil supply was adequate for the turbo's. The TSB had no relevance to his car.

This is how I understand it as well.

I think whats really interesting in all of this is that this thread is now TEN pages long, and not ONE post from FP!

In my opinion that takes it from really bad to just unforgiveable.

If I was FP at this point, one post in here that basically said "sorry for being dumb!"

And then a PM to J doing SOMETHING to make this right.

At least they could save a LITTLE face. But they just seem to not care.

Reminds me of one other company I know.......

Thanks for coming out of the closet Majin

Wow, I can't believe this guy went out like he did. He knew it was going to hit the internet and he still returned smart a$$ comments when it could've been all done with with just $2600.

Makes you realize why so many companies actually use "customer service" people who don't know squat about the product and don't end up shooting the company in the face like Mr. Young did here.

I am still amazed and blown away that this guy actually kept responding. Emails in some cases are worst then bullets and he knew it but still kept going. By my estimations this dude just lost over $10,000 on this forum alone.

I was looking at 20g sized turbos recently for an upgrade and all I can say is THANKS for posting this man. It sucks that you had to go through what you did but atleast it was very well documented and it will server to save alot of people possible grief in the future.

As corny as it sounds it looks like you took one for the team.

You can mark me as one less person that will ever do business with FailPerformance. Customer service like that is unacceptable.

once again thank you.

Majin did the right thing here. I am so glad that there is still people out there who are not afraid to let these business know that you shouldn't mess with customers. I just love how the guy thought he has the upper hand here and he gets what he deserves. Even he if he didn't want to pay for the 20G he could've handled this 100 times better.

I am so sick and tired of so many business screwing people over and not standing behind their product. This forum is a perfect example of what is out there and how to handle it.
