I have seen plenty of bad customer service from subaru vendors, both personally and in forum threads. I don't think this qualifies.
did you actually read it or what....he said he WASNT asking for secondary costs. asking for a cash refund of the purchase price is wierd when 2 units fail? in that case i have 2 laptops with batteries that are shorting out....1000 a piece :-D

Really?

So you put two different turbos on your car, and both fail. In lieu of a refund, they offer to rebuild one of the failed turbos. So, essentially, for the money you spent for TWO NEW turbos, you end up with one rebuilt one?

I don't know about you, but if two of a company's turbos failed on my car, I wouldn't put them on Fiesta. Majin didn't ask for all of the associated costs back. Labor fees, tuning fees, etc. - this is not a small amount of money. He asked only for the purchase price and essentially offered to eat the rest.

Why do you find that unreasonable? I am curious.

Also, to everyone, keep your posts civil and on-topic.

I would seriously try to sue FP for everything. You tried to handle it in a matter that would be professional and they handled it the wrong way. They are really stupid on making that move hands down. Especially you being a mod of this board. Look how many people read this post already. They are so stupid. They lost my buisness thats for sure.

Looks like most problems are from the fp20g and green turbos. Any FP Red owners wanna chime in here? I have a friend that was set in getting a Red but I told him about this thread last night. Now he doesn't know what to do.

THIS is better than suing. He'd never get the equivalent of the damages that have been caused by this thread.

Easy....want a FP Red? Get a SZ55 Deadbolt Turbo with a 8cm hotside and 3" inlet.......free rebuilds from Jerry at Deadbolt Enterprise FOR LIFE! Heres the thing, I heard about FP turbos long ago, and honestly think about it. If you went 20g now, and eventually later down the road went larger like a RED or SZ55, you have to sell the 20g. How much you think people will pay for a used turbo? Thing with Deadbolt is, they rebuild the turbo for LIFE. If your going to sell the 20g you had to someone else, all you do is send it to Jerry, he rebuilds it and TRANSFER the Title to the new person. That person now gets a FRESH 20g with a LIFETIME warranty. That says customer service for an A++++ company, does it not!?

All FP had to do was rebuild both turbos and either send them back, or easily refund Jason's purchase towards the 2 turbos. If they refunded Jason his purchase, they "Tech" won't crap out of $$. They could easily rebuild those 2 turbos and just sell them to someone else who places an order. Then Jason would make a thread on how well they treated him, they would make the money back on selling the 2 turbos and FP would be a "hero". I think maybe FP just wanted to stick to being stubborn and look what happens.....its simple business tatics.

in the end, Mr. Young tried but failed to hide behind the TSB about the oil feed line screen. even though Jack @ XX had removed the screen (which was in place and CLEAN)
was the screen in place with the green on the car or not. This says jack removed it, and it was in place.
