Default XX Tuning

What a day... what can i say..

XX TUNING ROCKS !! THEY ARE AMAZING !! THEY ARE THE BIG GOOMBA KINGS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE !!

After today, I will never go anyplace else with my suby. They have got my business foreeeeeeeeeeeeeever !!!

Now that i got that out of my system. Let me give y'all the details.
11:45 Reached XX
12:45 All the meet and greets is done, (man these guys r fun)
1:00 Car is pulled into the garage for the CAI and the intercooler coupler install. And then the 'other' shop's mess needed cleaning commenced.
2:00 Chris grabs his laptop, goes to hook it up and setup to build me a ecutek base map. to both our surprise the ecutek license y'all saw me buy from doug is gone. Hmmm.. mysssssssssssssssstery.. It was there after the stage 2 protune.. but now its VANISHED !!!.... only way tht could happen is... open-ecu was used to tune it... wonder where.
2:15 We all are foxed as to how this disappeared. Against XX's advice, (who didnt want to start any vendor bashing) I call the 'other' shop to ask if they used open-ecu and they deny it.. 'only ecu-tek' they say. I tell them that i'm tryin to install d-dash and cant seem to find the licence on the ecu.. i get told that they dont use open-ecu, and i must be doin something wrong. Confused i come back in.. and sigh have chris chek it again. and no go.. its not there.. no license.

LET ME MAKE THIS VERY CLEAR... After the 'other' shops tune, i didnt touch the ecu. And XX didnt touch it, i was there all the time. I drove the car into the shop, i saw them hook up the pc, i saw them open the ecutek software on the laptop, i saw the message that 'no license found'. So in no way was XX responsible for this.

2:20 Sigh... this all sounds too familiar.. i shot myself in the foot... no way out.. so i decide to go APv2.

2:40 Tuning starts, base map being built nice and eazy...

3:30 Chris call me to the dyno and says he LOVES the GT52... it holds boost (19-20psi) all the way constant till redline. Tuning continues.

6:00 Chris comes into the shop with an ear to ear smile on his face.. says the car is making great power all the way till redline. however he is limiting boost to around 19psi, and in 5th gear pull its making close to 350whp/360wtq.

6:10 We go for the road tune.. WOW the car feels amazing.. its so light on its feet, you guys cant even imagine how ALIVE it felt.... Compared to the other shops tune... night n day... jessica alba n grandma joe....

I come home happy as puppy with a new bone could be.. and get laid.. now that i'm sexxed n rested... i decide to put this up for you all to read..

XX Tuning, thanks a TONNE for all the hard work you put in today... you guys went above and beyond what you were required to do today. Thank You !

Chirs and XXTuning are great. It's always awsome when you can come back happy and with everything all straightened up.

What were your final numbers? Mod list? At what RPM are you seeing the 19-20psi you are tuned for? Just looking for some more information on the setup itself and details.

So what is xxtuning's policy if your engine blows up during a tune? This is the only thing im scared of getting a protune. I hear it happens on occasion.

We've never lost a motor on the dyno with the exception of one Mustang a few years ago.

Unfortunately, if the motor goes on the dyno, it's not our responsibility, but we would obviously work with you to get you back on the road.

just make sure you change your oil beforehand (or that it's fairly new) and your fluid levels (i.e. coolant) are full.

Chris.....do you tune with Open Ecu? or will you?

Installing my Fp Green setup this week and getting some options. I have been doing some self tuning on stock turbo with great luck but im going with Big MAF, Modified Stock injectors, and the Fp Green so I dont want to push my luck.....
