chris did a great job with my car, and he is a great guy. highly recommended!

the car is extremly smooth to drive, the power is all there, and it comes on early and very smooth. chris is a very down to earth guy, and was very helpful. even does a road tune with you.

Chris,

I have an '06 STi and I want to make roughly the same power as Ray_STi. What do I need to buy as far as parts before I schedule a tune with you? Is that just exhaust and downpipe or what?

If I'm not mistaken Ray_STi had an Element GT52 along with all the supporting goodies. In other words, far more than a downpipe and catback. You may want to read further into this post or go to his member journal if you want to find out everything he had on the car

check out the 20g turbo. Great for the street and 320whp won't be a problem.

Thanks again. But is that where I should start? I see you have a ton of mods listed. I need to pick a quiet but effective exhaust system and probably a nice Chris tune. Then I can work on thinking about a new turbo. Right?

Your best bet is to start with a turbo back exhaust and a tune. that will get you in the neighborhood of 300whp but will taper down above 6k. Many find stage 2 to be more than enough for the street and it definately is. The problem with your 320whp goal is even if you hit it running meth on the stock turbo it's gonna drop at the redline. Start with stage 2 and see how you like it and then look at adding more mods. You won't be out any money because stage 2 mods are compatible with any turbo upgrade anyway unless you plan on running a rotated setup. this should probably be talked about in another thread or by PM though

Just got back from my tune today with Chris. It was quite a haul, 4.5 hrs there 4 hours back. Worth every minute though. Chris was very thorough and explained what was going on every step of the way. I ended up with exactly what I wanted, a solid and semi conservative tune for my 07.

If your anywhere around the area, don't even bother searching any further. Give Chris a PM and set up your appointment.

I'm a little late with this review, but Chris tuned by car on May 3rd at ATX Motorsports. I've been driving over the past few weekends and the car has been running great. My numbers weren't what I expected, but I was on a different dyno as everyone else so I was still very pleased with my tune. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone.
