At the time I told you that I was not coming back for a third time, I had no idea I was going to go with a UTEC. I was considering other options, even flying a tuner in, to tune my car. As stated above, the review threads started 2 weeks ago when you called me rediculous and gave me that answer about the parameters being saved.

The reason I can not fully grasp that explanation is this:

1. You tune my car and I make 286whp(340 on a dynojet), I run 102mph.

2. You put me back on the dyno, without touching anything, and I make 270whp, which according to you should still be 330whp on a dynojet. So reagardless if the parameters were being saved or not, this map was putting out 270whp on your dyno and should be making 330whp on a dynojet.

3. I take my car with the map that you gave me, the one that was still making 270whp, and it makes 265whp on a dynojet.

Explain

Obviously if they said the MAP was not fully saving on the AP. I dont even have an AP and I understand that. Especially when I was there when COBB was explaining and helping them through the software issue. Again, all you had to do was go back. Not to mention, this is 7 months ago and your still complaining.

Still doesnt explain this. And its been 3 months not 7 since I received my half-refund. You have nothing to do with this. You are an Automaster fanboi so I would appreciate it if you stayed out.

Im also waiting to hear how you know about what went on at Etown last Friday.

Half my money back. Still waiting on the other half but when I asked for that I was being rediculous.

I really don't care what kind of person PolarisSnT is for the sake of this thread. If his initial post and the story contained within are true, I think Automaster and Rob should have refunded his money back completely. It doesn't matter that Automaster was experiencing problems, Polaris didn't get the service he paid for and I don't think it is reasonable to expect him to return to the shop for a third time after two failures. Any business worth its repution wouldn't let a relationship with a cutomer end badly over $200. I doubt PolarisSnT would be posting negative reviews about Automaster if they returned his money upfront and just apologized that things didn't work out better.

I have never been to automaster so I know nothing about them, I don't know PolarisSnT either so I can't comment on him.

Generally I don't have a problem with people. I was a little annoyed that the first post you make on a new forum is a short attempt at bashing a Vendor who has a good reputation on here. I understand that you were having problems with your car and the tune after automasters had tuned it and that sux, but this could have happened with an other tuner as well. I know you feel ripped off, but it is just one of those things that happens.

Now he did offer to make things right, yes it is frustrating to have to keep going back there. He did offer to keep tuning it to correct the problem. The way I see it, you had 2 options; continue to go back to him till you were happy with the tune or go to another tuner. You opted to go to another tuner with out letting him fix the problem.

This was a choice you made. I feel him refunding half of your money is totally reasonable. IMHO he didn't have to refund anything at all. You payed him to tune your car and he did. You weren't happy with it, and he tuned it again, you still weren't happy with the tune and he offered to fix the problem (his software was faulty). All of these times he was offering to correct the problem. You weren't happy with the situation and choose to go another route. Why should he give you all of your money back. He preformed a service on your car and you weren't happy with it, he offered to fix the problem and didn't accept.

These are just my opinions, I'm not trying to take shots at anyone. Just expressing some feelings

Yup exactly! I also think his big problem is Automaster saying "Your good to go" as in everything is fine. I believe he is pissed because he was never confronted about the faulty software, and that AutoMasters never called Cobb. Then there is the other side that someone says they were there with Rob when he called Cobb. So the thing that is upsetting this guy is, why he was never told about the faulty software, when he was told he was "good to go". Now the million dollar question, what is the truth?! Either way I see it, AutoMasters offers to fix the problem for the third attempt. I know, its a pain to drive there again and again for something that should be correct the first time. But you know what........mod'ing cars is no cake walk....imagine building an engine and all the headaches.....nothing in life is easy, but when this happens and the company offers to fix the problem.....wouldn't you save money getting it fixed, rather than selling the AP, buying the UTEC, and then getting tuned by someone else. Honestly, if it was me, I would have gone the third time. I would be right there to see how everything was being taken care of. If I was not 110% happy with the tune the third time, then I would really take things to a new level. This way it covers them for saying its faulty software, etc. Thing is this, you have to have patience, the journey we take with these cars aren't fast and easy, your always going to run into something.

Very well put. I appreciate the last few posts that were clearly written and not just short bursts that are just out to try and discredit me. I did not immediately trade my AP for a UTEC as I was exploring other options to still use the AP. Only after I found another tuner that recommended I switch to a UTEC.

I did not want to go back for the third time because if something happened to my car on the dyno I would be out of luck. If I had known it was a software issure, sure I would of definately gone back as I had a wonderful time at the shop talking with Rob and Al, but since I did not know about it I felt that I had no reason to go back. Especially when I find out that im running sub 10:1 AFR with excessively high timing, now thats dangerous.

I have had a lot of headaches with this car, mostly going on a goose chase looking for an imaginary leak, but problems come with the territory. Its not easy but totally worth it in the end.

this thread is now getting into too much speculation...

PolarisSnT, you have clearly gotten your story out and AutoMaster has had the chance to rebuke your posts...

rather than keep bumping this thread with how this guy or that guy interprets posts in here, we should put this baby to rest.

i think it's fair to give AutoMaster the last post in here and that you both should take it to PMs if you want to continue this. it's beginning to stink.

Sounds like a plan. Unless I am asked my opinion I will no longer post in here.

Just want to clarify that I went back for my second tune the end of November and got my half refund in the middle of December, so its only been 3 and a half months.

ok, then let's try not posting in here anymore and give the last word to AutoMaster - then if anything else needs to be worked out, you guys can move it to PM.

Thank You. This will be my last post regarding this thread.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

PolarisSnT,

I got your PM and I dont except threats. I am tired of explaining to you over and over again what happened. It seems you can not comprehend what I, along with others, have been telling you repeatavely over the last 6-7 months. You moved on to another tuner and shop, good for you. I would ask you again, to stop this immaturity and trouble making. Lets put this to an end again for, what im sure is, the 100th time. Let this thread be the last post on ANY forum regarding this.

P.S.
Can you please stop PM'ing my customers and harassing them.

Thank You
-Rob
