Default Topspeed/ Doug tune in southern California

A group of us got together and had Doug from Topspeed come out to Tuning Technologies in Colton California.

I was the first tune of the morning and Doug got busy right away. The car was on the dyno for two hours and he did 12 pulls. I had installed a ported FP 20G, Perrin FMIC, APS 3" TBE (non catted), Injen intake, PE 850's, colder plugs, and Accessport. Fuel was pump 91 octane. He managed 370ft/lbs and 376hp on a Dynojet 424 (same machine he uses at Topspeed). I was expecting around 330 or 340 with the crappy gas but i was pleasantly surprised. Car runs great, and is very smooth.

I wasn't able to stay the entire day but when i left an 04 with headers and a TBE put down 306hp and 350ft/lbs. I'm sure the rest of the guys will chime in soon. Overall a great experience.

i made 278whp/322wtq on crappy 91 octane gas. the reason i didn't make as much peak hp was because im running a 2.5 inch catback (stock midpipe/Genome axleback) so the only part that is 3 inch is the DP. ill get a pic of my dyno chart up soon.

pic of my dynochart:

Hi All,

Those were some very nice numbers in deed Supersubes as well as everyone else's. Doug is truely the man.

However, I was the unfortunate one that had a slipping clutch so, Doug wasn't able to get a tune out of.

So Jon, you are right. Doug will be coming back out here to Cali in the summer again.

Stay "Tuned".

Wow Ric i'm so sorry to hear that. Did it slip right off of the bat or did you get any baseline numbers?

Well im in for the next go around. Ill at least get a race gas map, or maybe i'll install meth. let me know, i'll even set it up again if you like.

All we need is three more...ok Jon go buy your rotated mount so we can get the ball rolling!

lol.. man.. i'm already saving.. but seriously, i'm very impressed with your numbers aaron, i'm actually thinking about a 20g setup... (maybe the new helix/gruppe-s turbo kit?) or anything else simular. oh well.. thats a choice i will make later down the road... right now its time to focus on some coilovers and wheels

Ya i was thinking the same thing. It was those numbers(20G included) that made me believe i would get around 330 or so. If you want a little more get a green. It's only 200 more than the 20g if i remember. I was thinking i might upgrade to that but after the numbers i got i don't think i need it.

The rotated mount is nice and i seriously considered it (GT30R) but it was going to cost another 1500 or so at least. If i was going to do it though i would do the ultimate racing kit with a GT30 instead of the standard 35R. I really like the fact that the 30r compressor is so efficient over such a wide area that it can be run from 15lbs all the way to 30lbs with incredible efficiency. I also like the MAF in the cold side IC pipe which makes it possible to run a 4" straight tube inlet pipe to the fender well. Do it! ha ha
