Default Protune at XX

I went to XX last friday to have my car protuned by tony. after talking to tony for a little while, and telling him that I wanted to run 18 psi max, he told me to expect about 280-285 whp with the mods that i have on currently

Cobb accessport
Blitz nur spec catback
Invidia v3 catless downpipe
K&N typhoon intake

after the initial setup, tony came in to tell me the car was ready. The inital pull, which amazed both tony and myself, came out to 298 whp. After looking over my a/f ratios, however, he noticed that i was running lean to due my intake, and told me that after the protune i should expect my numbers to go down a bit due to the conservative tune.

DYNO SHEETS COMING SOON

after he was done tuning, and right before we went out for a drive, he informed with that he was able to get 310 whp and 335 wtq with only 18 psi and minimal timing enhancments. after a small tune on the road, i was throughly impressed with the amazing smooth power curve and the new torque curve. i now have full torque at 2850 rpm, and the car pulls hard and smooth

after looking at the initial results of stock sti's vs mine, i am amazed that the STi did not come this way. The car is much faster, smoother, and pulls alot harder, especailly on the top end..oh yeah, tony took off my speed limiters.....

overall it was a great expierence, my car was so loud that it shook the walls in the dyno room, and then i had the pleasure to watch flames shoot out of the exhaust, even with the exhaust vent on. i would recommend xx to everyone, especially the tuning by tony

$300 well spent

-zach

Awesome to hear, Tony is a great local tuner from what i've heard. I'm participating in a tune @ XX with doug from topspeed and Tony. Otherwise Tony will be the tuner

I went to XX after a bad experience with another shop. They welcomed me with open arms and they helped to massage my car to 315whp 265ftlbs on the stock ej20. I will be heading back to them within the next few months to get my new injectors in there and relaly see what the motor is capable of.

Thanks again Tony and Tom is enjoying your 04 STi
