Thumbs up Jon at TDC "Masta-Tuna"

Jon came out and tuned several cars here in Colorado and did a fantastic job on both my 2005 STi and the wifes 2005 GTL. Smooth as butter and pulls like, well look at the graph...

I give TDC a big thumbs up!

First graph is GTL with base, then stg 2 and then protune. Second map is STi with stage 2 two runs then protune. All on 93 octane.

Parker

Default Another +1 for Jon

Ok, got back at 7:30 after the ride home. I had a good time. Jon is a great guy.

Here are the results - they are in different charts, but it's basically showing my car with the "stock" map, the Stage 1 off the shelf from Cobb, Stage 2 off the shelf, and then the ProTune from Jon Stage 2. I had a Helix high flow catted d/p installed, and I have a Tsudo N1 style exhaust.

So, my stock number for HP was 245whp/254tq - and it went to 289.5whp/322tq after the ProTune.

The Stage 2 off the shelf map was compared to ProTune Stage 2on this sheet, but I think there was a mistake because this one shows 270whp peak at the bottom, but I may be reading it incorrectly.

Thumbs up TDC Tuning

I just arrived home from TDC Tuning in Concord, NH. It was a pleasant experience, to have John PRO-tune my car. It's an 04 with 42000+ miles on it with an APS 3" "catted" exhaust. It was very encouraging for me, as he explained the process and answered my dumb questions while on the dyno. I told him I was looking to get a smooth/consistent tune and he delivered. It was a fun ride home down Route 9. I'll see if I can get the dyno chart up.

This is a good starting point for me. I have some mild goals for this car. I'm a big fan of engine response/and solid boost. I look foward to my next visit.
Best Regards, Abdias

Hey Kevin, Didn't mean to forget about you. It was late and way past my bedtime. Very cool to meet you as well. Your car is just like your signature. (VERY HOT!) All of your mods are working together very well. I hope to get mine all sorted out in the susopension dept, very soon.

The car is very smooth. I'm very happy. I don't think I got the chart up there properly. Does it need to be hosted?

John, very nice to meet you. Thanks for staying so late to get it done properly.

Default Just Came from TDC tunning

let me know what you guys think about my AFR, HP gains and TQ gains. HP was 306 on the first 3 rounds, then it got hotter so thats why it dropped. anyway, my mods are aps turbo inlet with stock intake, colder 1 step plugs(ngk) Invidia DP(high flow catted), JIC full Ti cat back, and walbro 255 fuelinjection.

Did you use cobb, protune?

I was thinking about going there for a protune, but I have 295 according to the dyno at KTR with mods listed in my sig...and it runs good right now

Default TDC Tuning NH

I went to Mike at TDC Tuning in New Hampshire. They were the closest place that I could get to in my "always have to much to do not enough time" schedule. My OCD was going pretty crazy with the way the shop looked, but the overall experience was good. I still have a problem with the overboost issue that I am having, but hopefully the new restrictor pill I have coming from Cobb will fix that issue. Here is the following info:

DYNOmite Dyno
21psi
277.7whp @ 5500rpms
303.9ftlbs @ 3700rpms
A/F ratio= 13.9:1@2050rpms tapering to 13.1:1@3200rpms dropping to 11.4:1@3475rpms and varying 11.4/11.9:1 till redline
93 Octane

(is this the typical turnout for a dyno pull, and does anyone have comparative data between different types of dyno's?)

Mike said that the DYNOmite dyno reads lower than most other dynos. I am curious if someone near Maine has another type of Dyno so I can compare runs.

Default Re: TDC Tuning NH

Quick question, has anyone ever dealt with F1 Tuning in Portland, Maine, or DENT in Massachusetts?
