Default Just got tuned at Topspeed

Well my buddy and I left Charlotte around 7am to make the trip to Topspeed. We were making good time until about 100 miles into the trip when.....

The STi didn't even flinch when this thing exploded. No loss of control whatsoever and we were going about 90-95 mph when it went. So we were in some po-dunk town and happened to find a great litte tire shop. Long story short, my only option was a used Dunlop with as much tread as my other tires for $30

So we were back on the road and made it to Topspeed only 5 minutes late

Ok, here's the numbers. Low curves are the baseline with no tune, the high numbers were the last two runs with Ecutek tune.

As you can see I picked up about 100 ft lbs at 3500 rpm

I'm very pleased with the car so far but I really haven't got a chance to play with it too much. We were stuck in traffic as soon as we left and the rest was highway. Also my boost gauge is reading over so I might need to get that swapped out or adjusted maybe? Doug said he was seeing a max boost of 18 psi but he saw the gauge reading around 21! I'll need to get that straightened out.

There was also a beast of a STi there that Doug was tuning on before my car with a 35R putting out about 440 hp 401 tq on pump gas. I'm don't think he was totally done with it though.

Oh and on the way home, a fricken huge meteor of a rock got kicked up and cracked my windshield It was quite a day

Nate

Monday the meth kit is going to be installed. We will post up results when we get them. I think it will be in the 500's easy.

He went from DB20g to SZ49, and now a UR kit GT35R. This seems to be the G35R kit....

TopSpeed is the shiz, Doug is a PIMP!

btw, that looked like a nasty blowout, glad to hear the STi handled it well at high speeds.

The tire blew out cause I ran over a screw and it had run flat. Right when I started making smart a$$ comments about how rough the SC roads were.....BOOM! It was hard to tell it was flat cause of the low profil sidewall I guess. Just felt like a rough patch in the road. Now I'm all paranoid everytime the road feels a little rough

Yeah your car sounded amazing on the dyno. I've got some vid of a few of the runs if you're interested. When that thing hit full boost it almost sounded scary. Good luck hitting 500

Puck,
How does the car feel now after you've had a chance to drive it with your tune?
