Thumbs up Ed at EQ Tuning - www.eqtuning.com - Northern California

Ed at EQ Tuning (www.eqtuning.com) tuned my STi with AP/ProTuner, and it is very smooth and powerful.

My '04 STi only has a 70mm Tanabe catback, a JDM STi cotton panel airfilter, and the GM Typhoon boost solenoid, and I'm putting down 255hp and 265tq at the wheels, and boost comes on quick and strong, I'm only hitting a maximum of 15lbs boost, and its as smooth as silk.

Ed is a true professional, he believes in smooth, safe tunes that produce high amounts of HP and Torque.

I couldn't be happier with my tune!

David

Custom Road Dyno software, and the vehicle is scheduled to go on a mustang dyno in the near future as well.

Ed uses custom road tune maps on the backroads of Davis, California with pulls in sti's in the top of 4th gear close to 100 mph. So in other words his business practices are unsafe I honestly would not reccomend using his services and to stick with a shop that has an actual dyno. Ed may set his prices lower than shops but it is not worth the risk of endangering your life and your car just to get a cheaper tune.

Gruppe-s in the Bay area or S-squared in Sacramento are two shops that have in house dyno's in Northern California and are both cobb and ecutek tuners

You want to see some of the discussions about EQ head over to I-club and do a search for "EQ"

Thanks for the heads up. I live in Sacramento, and was wondering what tuners were available. I'll look into S-Squared a little more, since I plan on using Ecutek.

Watch out for S-Squared, since they have been caught simply loading base maps on vehicles, running them on their dyno, and leaving it at that.
