How do you like? Did you feel a difference? Do you guys think wrapping the turbo and DP really helps? I have searched and there are so many different opions. I have some fabric headshield material I was going to use for my Triumph but the Suby is #1 right now. I have a 1998 Mercedes C43 that I installed a HPS S/C on. My Benz is like a Cobra on crack. I am selling the C43 because I have never loved a car like my f-in STi. Thanks for all the help. I could never learned and modded my Suby without WSTI and the members. Esemes you are an inspiration to me because I have been through the same crap with all my cars, and I keep going. I thought I was crazy, but I am not the only one.

350/361

Look at all that torque at 3500!!!

I'm not comparing this dyno directly to yours as the two dynos are different as well as the SAE correction on yours, but I really like how early and hard the torque comes on.

please post a dyno w/ relative numbers. wha are the correction values, or better yet, what value is the Y axis?? and dyno type, CF applied to whatever.....

i am in NO WAY knocking you. that is one VERY delicious looking dyno. im wondering about that setup for myself!!

Default Xoticmotorsports

The dyno at xotics is a dynojet (models 248 & 224x).

Andy is a great tuner, He was able to get 415whp out of my DR65 on pump gas.

As for all the correction methods and stuff here ya go, there isn't that much of a difference....

And an engine bay pic...

BTW The tune was with a hydra...

Check out Harman Motive http://www.harmanmotive.com/index.ph...lery&src=photo

EDIT: Also a Dynojet dyno

All of there sz49 tunes are in the 360's
They have a couple of sz55's in the 380's
And a GT35R (same as DR65) around 415

EDIT: All of those were pump gas numbers...

I'd say all of Andy's tunes are right where they are supposed to be...

C43 looks like things are coming together nicely. You can tell there is more left in the SZ from the graph, it was done with nice safety so far. Good luck with it!

On this graph, thats a ton of torque, looks like a fun ride. One thing though, the power dies off really fast after the horsepower peaks...not pulling all the way to redline. Do you know what turbo was tuned? Just curious, thanks!

I believe the car in the dyno I posted has the following mods:
APS SR40 turbo with Perrin TMIC, 750 injectors, xxtuning headers, 3.5" APS TBE and ECUTEK tune.

Thanks! That makes sense with the top end. It looks like a nice set-up.

Andy is the man. He is very methodical in his tuning, going for a safe tune then tweaking for more power. I know there is more power trapped in the SZ49. Andy is cool about updates, he called me last week to stop in after hours so he could try something. By that soething I gained 50lbs of torque dow low. I will post the new dyno runs soon.

I'm almost ready to buy an upgraded turbo but there are so many choices and I don't want to make the wrong one. That said, that SR40 dyno is exactly what I NEED. I don't care about huge peak number. I want more power over the whole rev range and more power in the 3000-4000 area for daily driving and autox/track(road course).

But the deadbolt stuff looks great and so does the FP. The SR55 is temping, but I don't like the lag, plus with APS in general I am sketched out because of Esemes saga.

C43 I'd love to see this +50 gain. Hopefully it is down in the 3000-3500 area. If it is, I'll probably end up with your turbo.

I understand about the choices and being thorough. You are doing the right thing, and keeping it streetable is a great move. If you need any dynographs to look at from different 20g setups for info purposes don't hesistate to ask, I've got some with different sets of supporting mods. Good luck with the upgrade!

Thanks JG. Sorry to pull a bit of a on ya C43.

Can anyone give me any data on the SZ49 vs TD06H-20G?

Yes I have looked at the dynos at Harman, but if I were to go with one of these vs the SR40 I'm not sure which I would go with. the 49 seems to make more power and have a little more lag, and while the lack of lag on the 20G is awesome, the power increase doesn't thrill me(at least based on their dyno chart of 318 SAE corrected).
