I've seen posts made by Subaru of Gwinett on nasioc and the guy actually caught me a bit off guard by how knowledgable he is. Strange that you mention him...I was thinking to myself "hrm, this shop sounds legit" when I first remember reading a post from him last week.

Ese, I would take my car to Subaru of Gwinett any day of the week...if they don't make more/safer power than its only ~$240 off your back...not much at all. They don't have the longest track record(26 STi's and 18 WRX's?) but Siegel seems to know what he's doing.

Ese man....what are you doing? Did you not make this:

"sti with aps : 65cai, dr725, sr55, and autospeed 3" catted exhaust (cat portion knocked clear), nismo 720cc injectors....

365awhp @ 6500, 330awtq @ 4500..... 18.5psi. "

Then I saw you post about gettin a 20G? ..... Dude what are you trying to do? If you want low end/quick spool, get like TDO5-18G, if you want little more mid and some top get like TDO6H-20G, if you want more top get like superzilla/green TDO6H-49lb/min Garrett wheel...if you want a lot of top end get a rotated GT35R.....

its cool man...and we all are learning from your experience but ....getting 2 SR55's installing them and tuning them and then still wanting something different....again..man...i don't want sound like criticizing you....i just want us to understand your goals and try to help with our advice and help you keep more of your money to you and enjoy your STi we are here to share and learn from each other

????Dude this time I will buy your SR55...i have money right now lets do it

Greetings,

Scott is definately legit, I had my STI tuned by scott with ecutek and all I can say is WOW. He has an excellent knowledge base of subaru and ecutek and how they need to co-exist as a happy package. Dont forget to go to chipoltle for lunch while you are at the shop.

Haha I'm actually thinking of making the 1 hour drive through Hollywood to get to the nearest chipotle right now.

Btw Scott, post your dyno graphs up sometime. I don't think it matters one way or another at this point...

Scott is a great guy and he will take care of you. His biggest thing is to make sure you are happy before you leave.

I live no more than 5 minutes from Subaru of Gwinnett and go there when I need to take care of the car.

I plan to have my car retuned in a month or so and Scott will be doing the work.

My recommednation, and this solely based on what read/learned so its just my opinion and its not gold. I've seen many say how quick the FP green spools by 3xxx rpm they get 1 bar etc...and I beleive it...what they don't tell you is that how quickly it respools for example in between shifts etc. For that reason and your taste of wanting quick spool and a lot of midrange I would try to stay away from all non-bb mitsu turbos; unless cost is a big factor. They maybe pretty good but I just have a hardtime beleiving they can respool as fast as bb-GT-R turbos.

I would do this first get a ride from Orez. See what you think that should give you a good idea. Then based on that...well if you like just do that...come on down to Austin and let Mohamad do an SR55 and EcuTEK tune for you. If you like more top end then I would look at the AVO turbos, AVO 450, 500 and 600, again they are ballistic GT bb turbos that kick some serious ass. Mohamad likes the APS parts and has a lot experience with them but I have already talked to him and he has no problem tuning AVO, FP, Zilla turbo either.

Only thing about AVO turbos is that they got the larger A/R exhaust housing so they may spool somwhat later than a SR55 but they should have more top end ~ I think.

^^^^^^^^^^all of the above is one mans opinion i maybe right or wrong please don't shoot me for it later

Good luck ese

To top things off ....just saw a thread on nabisco on how someones FP green was hitting the TGV what a PITA it is, same thing with the SBR turbo etc....I would stick with engineered Turbos (i.e. APS, AVO, HKS, Greddy, Garret, etc) vs. shop made turbos SBR, FP....

Last but not least...man with Roberts kit you could get the GT30-R and I'm not sure but I think on Garrett turobs you could have a custom smaller exhaust housing A/R to give you sooner spool...but it would probably hold you back on the top end.

Default RE: Good place to buy stickers?

Any smaller housing than a 0.63 on Robert's kit and you are going to have a later spool because of built up back pressure restricting flow. Ese, I'd stick with the SR55.
