Default Shout Out For Scott Siegel!!!lol

I just want to start by giving you some insight about how this all started. About this time last year I ditched my beloved Nissan 350Z for a 2004 STI. The one I choose from out of 4 models was SOG’s “Performance STI“. Let me explain, The first 2 models had all the unessacery components like the auto dim rear view, arm rest ext, radio, etc.. The other 2 were the wrong colors, so leaving the obvious choose, “Performance STI”. Now at the time JIC FLT-A2 (12gram frt/ 10gram w/ helper spring set up. Now replaced with a more street able 8gram/7gram,no helper spring.), Random Technology exhaust and gold Tarmac II’s(Now gunmetal TarmacII) At the time of purchase Scott was unaware that I strong armed SOG into selling me his project car (HIS BABY! LOL!)…Needless to say Scott was surprised the following Monday when he came back and found a CLEAN Nissan 350Z in place of where his Per. STI was, witch bye the way, was sold to one of the service techs that afternoon…. Small insight on the 350, 19” ADR M-Sports, (staggered 19x8 frt & 19x10rr) Veilside front lip, Veilside rear spoiler, Next Level intake and true dual exhaust.(My old Co.). And that’s all the goodies I left on it traded in … After a few months Scott and I began preparing to go the way of ECUTEK once SOG became a dealer for them. By that time I had moved from ATL to Montgomery were is like being in the Bermuda Triangle, stuck dead in the middle of 3 main dealerships in mind. Mobile, Birmingham, and good old SOG. Now granded that Mobile was owned by a guy who loves racing his Scub, just too far to travel. Bham would probly be good for my serves, but doesn’t have a performance dept. Leaving SOG MY choose. And not just because of how close it is or because of there performance dept., Because Scott Siegel is Passionate about what he does. And you have to admit #’s don‘t lie. How many people do you know that will call you after you have been tuned (several months later) and say “ Hey, I have an update on your tune, when can you come get setup?” No tuner I know. Scott has listened to me ask 1001 questions on what to do next, will this work and has always came back with the same yes, no , and this is why, and not I don’t have time for this or just sell me something that just doesn’t work. I am big on R&D and what has worked traditionally. Scott has invited me to his class @ TDGX and I have attended other track events that allow me to experience the pure machine this thing has become. It by far is not the fastest nor the slowest, It has become a well rounded car that I can only owe the thanks, time and devotion that Scott and SOG has put into this STI. MY personal opion of what Scott has done for me (and not getting mad @ me for taking his BABY!LOL!) deserves my trust and respect!

Ps. It also helps that his initials are SS! Scott Siegel / Scott Sanders hhmmm….

How can you come in here and call US idiots? If you read the entire thread, you can see I didn't start the entire Scott bashing, I was pulled into it! I was there yes and was not impressed, a lot of things went sour that day. You feel bad he had to hang out with us.....If I recall he had a pretty good time. Also to say he should have charged us 5 grand....I thought I read your main concern is customer service? (C43) This thread has really got out of hand I agree, but I was there and know what went down.

keyser i dont mean to be rude or anything but come on motors arn't everything in the racing and tuning world one word gear's so you have top end power from the motor but shouldn't your tranny be set up opposit to equal out everything im no expert but if you have a motor butting out good low end power and mid range wouldn't you want to be geared for top end ????kinda makes sence in a way right

Did this post just make it on here, or was it just put on here?

Let's just put it this way, if Jesus Christ came down to Earth and opened his own tuning shop and started playing with boost and timing, I would still go through Scott Siegel. Nobody else works on my car - period!

my favorite quote about SS that I found on the internet, in the spirit of Chuck Norris facts:

I have nothing against SS, and he is a great guy. I have heard of 3-4 negative experiences, and countless positive experiences that easily overshadow the negative ones. I consider him a great asset to the subaru community.
