I'm sure both shops are very qualified, but who is the best, most experienced, and will go the extra mile. thanks ...looking for a strong stage 2 tune This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (7) | I will be going to HB speed to get tuned in about a month. I have been hearing great things about them. I was planning on harman originally, but I honestly like people who are a little less busy and I know will take their time with my car. I will also be looking at a strong stage 2 type tune. I am currently on the cobb stage 2 map as well. I have the following power mods helix catles dp kakimoto racing catback turboxs cast iron up-pipe (stock one broke) gruppe-s unequal length headers hks super mega intake (might ditch this though) I'm going to add the phenolic spacers and a mbc before I go. I dunno if this helps, but if you plan on waiting a month...you can go down there with me and see how it goes. -Ryan |

| Silver Member | Don't think for a second that Dan won't take care of you. Just becauuse his shop is taking off, he hasn't forgotten what got him there. I got tuned there this year and Dan went above and beyond expectations. he spent almost an hour road tuning my car to get the driveability right, then he stayed late to finish up my extra race gas map. I get e-mails from Dan twice a month asking how the car is running. Every e-mail I have sent Dan during and after my build were answered within the hour. Being patient during the whole process pays-off in the end. Picasa Web Albums - HarmanMotive - JB's 2006 STI |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | im going to Jon at HB speed. I was originally going to go to harman motive but HB speeds prices are WAAAAAAYYYY better on both tuning and installation and I like calling and actually talking to someone who cares about me and my car needs. Every time i called harman motive the dumb secretary answered and couldnt care less about me let alone know who I was. I made an appointment 2 weeks ago with Matt and called in a week later to ask a question and without even mentioning who i was Matt knew who I was and was able to answer my question easily. HB SPEED FTW!!!!!!!! |

| Senior STI Driver | they did not get that name and reputation from no were they worked hard for it and now you pay the price for all of their knowledge they have gained tuning and building so many cars. |

Harman is a VERY good shop, and they do GREAT work. Although I think someone only looking for a stage 2 protune is out of place there. I think harman is worth it if you have a big build and wanna feel safe. I do agree that they pay less attention to people spending less money. Just because they are in demand. And it only makes sense that it would be that way, no shop is perfect. These are my experiences and beliefs and are "opinions" from my behalf. I personaly have had nothing but good experiences with them. But I have also had the same experiences at a cheaper price at hb speed. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2006 Trader Rating: (9) | I agree. People still like to feel like the people who are working on their car care about it and will do their best to do a good job. I agree that Harman is an EXCELLENT shop but the drive is far for me and their quoted price approaches twice what I was quoted at HB speed and HB speed is doing more work for me than what harman quoted me. I have heard nothing good things about HB speed and my experience with Jon and Matt thus far has been a pleasure. |
