You should not have any mods on the car until you have the accessport.

You do not need th bov or cai, return them or sell them, they will on cause you PROBLEMS.

Find a local protuner, where you live, if you post up your area people can recommend someone.

Also searching this site for answers to your question will be very helpful. There a 100's of threads covering the topics you have just asked.

how does he not need the cai?!,... there is no problem with it as long as you get protuned. you can go stg2 when u have installed the dp and catback. you have a 07 so after stg2 you should get protune to be extra safe.

I dont see the need for a cai on a stg 2 car. The stock air box is fine.

well, john at precision tuned my cobb intake with the cooler box and it made power all across the board

What were your numbers?

Its a short ram the cobb, right? I dont like the idea of the hot air intakes. If anything I would get the aps cai.

When cobb first advertised their intake in late 04 early 05 they basically made it so people who wanted to run them with the accessport could, they were tired of requests for making maps to all different intakes.

hello , my numbers were 306hp to the wheels and 345tq to the wheels, john could easly got alot more power but for me safety comes first.
It's a short ram but it's totally new from the old cobb intake system. I also purchased the cobb intake cooler box to keep the hot air out.
The box works very well take it from me who lives in n.y.c and does alot stop and go traffic.
Im very very happy with the responce and yea the noise too
THE big plus is that john did a hell of a job tuning it.
His STI limited has a similar intake system so it was easy for him to adjust my tune.
yea Ive seen your name pop up on the precision tuning forum sight so I dont need to tell you how great of a job rich and the guys and wife do .

I have to take a look at the new cobb intake. Did not know they put a new one out to their prior one that hit the market a few yrs ago.

Nice numbers and yeah John and the whole gang at precision is awesome. Rich has treated me amazingly over the past 4.5 yrs I have been their customer.
