Default Tim Bailey @ Surgeline Tunning

Might be possibly the best tuner in the country . Just tuned my 2006 STi stage 2 STi with meth and got me awesome #s 320 HP and 370 tq at 21 psi on a VF39 . Said he could push it more but he was concerned about the turbos lifespan and the driveability of the car . Im very impressed hes very patient with the customer and takes you step by step in his work if you ask . And yes he is Cobbs new tuning genuis .

You will be happy for sure. I will be running his stage 2 pretty soon and I am excited. Right now I am running his stage 1 and I have no complaints whatsoever.

Are you trying to say that you think he is a "genius" tuner that happens to use Protuner (among other systems), or that he is now in the employ of Cobb Tuning? I thought he is independant, but you seem to be saying otherwise.

From what I understanding he is cobbs head tuner now, and develops all the new tunes for cobb .

Surgeline Tuning Unless he's moved recently, he lives in Portland, OR, but he flies out and tunes all over the country. He goes to Ohio fairly often.

Well, I've looked at all of Cobb's anouncements and all the news for Tim on all the boards and I can't find a single reference to the fact that he is now working "for" Cobb, much less as their in house "shelf map" maker. So, if he is, this has been kept very quiet, which is highly unusual in an industry where people customarily brag like a $10 whore.

From what I understand, he helped Cobb with their OTS Stg2 map for the '08. Thats it.

I Had Tim tune my 08 sti at PIA in Tacoma, WA He did several maps for me a 14, 15, 19 psi and a low boost economy map using the COBB access port. I have yet to post the dyno graphs in the forum but the 19 psi map is impressive. 303 WHP 327 WTQ. My mods are an agency power cold air intake and TBE Invidia catless downpipe. I have heard that he is the new head tuner for cobb also. Just talking to him you can tell he is a genius.
