Here's mine. The first chart is my TDC Protune, the other has an overlay of stock vs OTS Cobb map vs TDC Protune

TDC's dyno definately reads lower than others. Do you have a bigger chart to post? It's kinda hard to read.

I made 340 whp on TDC's dyno w/a 20g setup a while back... They're dyno reads significantly low, but a dyno is used as a tuning tool I want to go to XX for a re-tune since its its been about a 2yrs since my last tune.

Here is the larger version, sorry about that first one! If anyone has a take on this tune as if it is to aggressive for a simple protune stage-2 please let me know. I am seeing a lot of the STi's on here are only running about 18-19psi. My tune is currently 21psi, and I don't want my engine to go boom any time soon, that is later down the road!

Mine's tuned to 19psi and I bet the only reason yours is running more than that is a result of your overboost issue. Most cars don't make any more power running boost above 19psi with the VF39 and I'd imagine the same is true for the VF43. Don't worry too much though, because as long as your car isn't detonating you have nothing to worry about. Log some data and check your KC values. Mike usually tunes timing to advance 9deg under boost so as long as KC climbs to 9 and doesn't drop, the car is happy with the tune.

Thumbs down My Experience with TDC Tuning

I'd like to share my experience with TDC Tuning in Concord, NH and see what other members think and maybe get some advice on how to deal with my problem. It's late so I'll be a concise as possible and leave out the minor details for now. I may come back and edit this post later and am willing to answer any questions you may have.

I brought my car to TDC for a standard stage 2 tune and install back in May of '07. While at the shop the car was damaged resulting in approximately $1000 worth of repairs. I got it fixed and brought the car back to TDC to get it tuned. TDC agreed to comp the labor and tuning time toward the cost of the repairs. This would have been great except they never paid the difference. The resulting balance owed to me is just over $600. I have been trying to contact these guys for several months now and it wasn't until I emailed their owner Jon about this that I got a response.

The problem I have now is that he's only willing to pay me $350 of the approx $600 he owes. He also told me that if I take him to court it'll be a long time before I see all of the money if I even win. I'm not worried about winning because I saved all of my receipts emails from TDC saying they'd pay me, but do you guys think it's worth taking them to court over this or would you just settle for the $350?

This may be an isolated incident, but from my experience I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The shop is a mess, they don't answer the phone and have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

I would also look into a new boost solenoid, the tuner I plan on using seems to really like the 3 port ones.

I would love to see this on the Judge Judy show...

I noticed you will be going to XX Tuning in the future...they have tuned my car twice in 6 months and are absolutely worth the trip. Chris the tuner is awesome and really works hard to get your car the way you want it but keeps it safe for ya too.

Look forward to hearing what happens both with TDC and XX.

Bump as warning to people considering these guys.

Still nothing from TDC even though Jon told me he'd fax me a settlement contract and would follow up with a check.

I've heard nothing but bad things about this place. I went to XX even though TDC is closer to me.

I definitely wouldn't take just the 350. At least talk to a lawyer. If you really do have applicable documentation that supports your argument, then maybe you could get a lawyer to mail them a letter stating whats going to happen if they don't fess up the full amount and what support you have. I mean, ****, a receipt saying they'll pay the full amount has to count for something. And if it does, then they'll probably pay up right away without going to court because that would be way expensive for them, considering you can sue them not only for the $600 but also your court fees I imagine.

Resident lawyers?

I posted my story on the TDC forum and got banned . Looks like Jon isn't gonna pull through. Time to make a trip to the local courthouse and file suit.

On a good note this thread has already saved one member from TDC. He pm'd me and it looks like he's gonna go see the guys at XX-Tuning.
