Default Harness Install?

Can anyone who has installed their harnesses (bolt in ones not the schroth quick fit) do a write up as to how to bolt them all into place? Im specifically concerned about the 2 lap belt connections. Thanks

Wes

I don't have pics but you replace the rear seat belt attaching point bolt with an eye bolt and cut away some of the plastic around it so you can hook up the left side belt. On the right side, I know this is not the ideal way, remove the seat and replace the seat belt latch bolt with the other eye bolt and cut off the little tab that restrics the latch from moving down. That will allow you to move the latch down of the way when you are using the harness. I tried mounting the eye bolt to the rear of the slider but it is just too hard to adjust the harness that way.

You talking about these two points for the lap belt?

This is using the scrothe bolt in harness, that I have installed on my 06.

Right side

Left side

You have to pull the carpet back a little on the left side (if your looking at the back of the seat) to get to the bolt.

I did NOT take my front seat out, it was not necessary.

Yeah pull the black cover off.

The carpet if I remember correctly right near the seat theres a place to fit your hand/edge of the carpet you can pull up. Pull it up gently, and not to much of it. Lemme go in the garage (after family guy, lol) and I will re-look at it.

I saw your whole debate on the harness/harness bar. Ive used this for 2 autox seasons and have absolutely 0 complaints. I do not move at all in the stock seats and for my size the seats are like couches to me their so big.

If you need anymore help just ask.

thanks alot i really appreciate the help. So is it exactly the same on the passanger side? Also did u just reuse the stock mounting hardware? what if i get the ones that are the snap in type? I'll link you to the exact ones that im getting. Also, this may be kind of trivial but i cant decide between red or black. any insight into that? heres the link Schroth Profi II ASM Harness Belt

Yeah I re-used the stock mounting hardware. I do not have one on the passenger side but I bet its just like installing it on the driver side. Again, you shouldn't have to remove the seat.

I would buy black if you have the stock seats. Red kinda clashes way to much.

That harness looks nicer then mine. I somehow am not a fan of the quick fit (they dont make em yet for the 06 or 07).
