Default 07 Air Pump removal

Yeah I don't want some useless air pump. Anybody removed that dead weight yet?

I haven't heard of anyone removing it yet.

It may not be just as simple as removing it. IIRC, there were some modifications to the heads that were related to the addition of the air pump, so it may require some tuning once its gone. At the very least, I would expect a CEL from its removal, since its part of the emissions system.

But, maybe it is just as simple as removing it. We'll never know till someone tries.

Which models of WRX / STi have this air pump? I've been searching and cannot this info.

EDIT: I don't want to remove mine, but I'd just like to know
