Default Please help with motor swap!!!

hey guys i am almost done with pulling the motor and went to separate the block from the tranny and nothing. so i went to the trusty service manual and saw that i forgot to do this

19) Separate the clutch release fork from release
bearing.
(1) Remove the clutch operating cylinder from
transmission.
(2) Remove the plug using a 10 mm hexagon
wrench.
(3) Screw the 6 mm dia. bolt into release fork
shaft, and remove it.
(4) Raise the release fork, and then unfasten
the release bearing tabs to free release fork.

Any help or pics would be much appreciated

What part do you need help with, exactly?

You'll need to remove the starter to gain access to the release-fork shaft. I've done this a couple times so if you want to IM or whtever, I can help you, but please be specific with your questions.

What do you want a pic of?

Like nhlur said. You are probably looking for the shaft. Move the starter out of it's mounted location and move it away from the tranny.

Think 10/11 o'clock position on tranny... immediately to the right of the starter.
There is 10mm hexagon hole on a plug about the size of 1/2 dollar. It's usually pretty tight.

Stand on the subframe where the radiator should be, stick your 10mm hexagon bit with rachet or allen wrench with extra pipe for leverage, and loosen the beeocth.

Once the plug is out. Put your finger in there, feel around for small hole in the center. That's where you are going to screw in the 6mm bolt. I like to use a 6mm bolt with a wing nut.

Get the 6mm nut started about 6 turns or so and pull on it with steady pressure. It might seem wicked hard. Just keep pulling and you'll see.

Once you have the shaft out.

Jack the tranny up an inch or two and seperate the engine from the tranny.

You will need a big pry bar and probably some else to help pry away on the opposite side you are on.

I found that you could use one of the battery tiedown rods to thread into the shaft and slide it out. Perfect threading.
