Is it difficult to install sway bars?

Nope.

Worx Tuning Sway Bar Install How-To

Rear is super easy. Front is a bit harder but it's still not hard.

How in the WORLD do you get the front sway bar mounts to come off? There is ZERO room between the lower subframe and those 12MM bolts. Try as I might, I absolutely could not get enough muscle to get a teeny weeny 12mm box open wrench to move those bolts without wanting to round the edges... any advice?

Way overkill in my honest opinion. Just torque them to spec.. or just good and snug really.

Bullhonky!!! Taking the subframe off is a simple matter of removing a few bolts. Leave them in a pattern under the car that mimics where they were holding the subframe on. Each bolt must go back into the same hole it came out of. I don't know how you can possibly twist the existing bar out of there without removing it.
I know exactly what bolt you are talking about. What a pain in the bottom! Here is the trick: Get 2 visegrips; one to attach to the bolt, and one to tighten the screw on the attached visegrip. Tighten that screw REALLY tight. After that, just unscrew the bolt. Once you loosen it, it is obviously a snap to get off.
