Default Painting engine parts

Can someone recommand a paint code for the Duplicolor when painting engine parts?

I'm looking for something to match the red intake manifold.

Bought a can of Duplicolor and tried it on a piece of paper first, it looks like Hemi orange so I didn't use it.

Any help appreciated.

Just go pick up some VHT red wrinkle paint, because the manifold is red wrinkle. It should do the trick, its high heat paint too....

a few people recommended VHT Wrinkle Plus in red to me. I got it from Summit along with some of VHT's ceramic paint.

Haven't tried it yet, I'll try to get to it soon so I can see how it matches up.

The VHT wrinkle red gets pretty close to the manifold color but its not a dead on match. My strut tower bar was peeling bad so I painted the mounts with the crinkle red. When its light out and I get a chance Ill take some pics for you guys.

Also, the VHT stuff is a pain in the a$$. I had to try 4 cans before I got one that had a functioning nozzle. Thank god the autoparts store was cool about it.

An added note when using wrinkle paints is to spray a pretty heavy coat or it wont wrinkle enough, and to use some heat to help it wrinkle. a hairdryer would speed things up a bit. I use a heat gun, but you have to be careful not to heat it too much or it will out-gas from under and give you bubbles
