Exclamation How to Properly Evaluate a turbo's condition

Since I'm in the market to replace my stock td04 ( i dont have $ for upgrading the turbo and the support mods) How can i properly evaluate a turbo's condition to make sure it is a good turbo and not a trashed one? Thanks

I know shaft play, and seal condition are important. Not sure of a proper test though, sorry.

Just wait untill the people who have actually dealt with turbo swappage get their hands on this.
