If this isn't what yours looks like, the good news is that historically, the DRL control module has always been labeled with something like "Module, DRL" or "DRL Control Unit" or something. Just poke around behind the dash until you find something that says DRL on it and unplug it and test it out before putting the dash back together

If you do find it in another location, PLEASE take a good photo of where it is so we can help everybody else who will want to do this mod.

Thanks for the pic.

I pulled the glove box and as far as I can tell the 07 is different than the 06 and the DRL module is not where your pic shows it to be. I'll keep poking around. Maybe someone out there has schematics?

I'm looking for the same info. From what I can tell, the 2 relays behind the glovebox are for the headlights, the drl module is not there on my '07 either. If you release the parking brake and you hear 1 relay click, if you have the brake engaged and turn on the headlights the other relay clicks. I wonder if you can just disconnect the 1 wire that goes from the e-brake to the relay to disable the drl w/o disabling the headlights?

No, because the parking brake ground is used as an input for more than just DRLs. Most importantly, the DCCD system.

I'm not saying disconnect it from the e-brake. Do you know if the wire branches off at some point? If it does, it might brach from the e-brake to a splitter, then to the dccd, the instrument cluster, and the relay for the drls.

yes it does, but if you find where that is, you've found the DRL module

Since they're HID, do they need a module?

The module is what controls when they are on. What exactly are you asking?

I assumed there may be a difference between DRL's in past models (my 02 WRX had smaller lights as well as the headlight that stayed on) and when a car ran HID's as the DRL. And because of that there may be a difference to how they're controlled. That's all. I guess there is no difference.

I already tried unplugging the relay and it disabled the headlights completely, so just unplugging it didn't work. Its possible that the module is located elsewhere.

I was just kinda hoping that someone else figured it out, I haven't had the time to dig into it yet.

well good news, I am in the process of downloading the 2007 service manuals and I'll get to the wiring section tonight. That will answer our questions hopefully!

Nice, I hope we can all put our heads together and figure it out, I think that I starting to get used to the DRL's and we can't have that!

looks like it is in the same spot as it is now according to the diagram. It looks like there are three relays b103,b102,and b425. The middle relay is the drl module b102.

but the daytime running light relay is not in the diagram for HID models.... The only thing for HID models is that DIODE (B95) and the Body Integrated Module (B280)
