Default Rear Strut Nut hard to get off? HELP!!

I'm in the middle of doing a spring job with some prodrive's and I can't get the top nut broken off the Allen screw of the rear strut. I don't want to strip it with my impact gun and I tried about everything I could think of.... Including a 17mm with 6mm allen wrench combo. Is there anything else I could try? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Just break it loose with the impact gun.

You'll be more likely to strip a bolt using hand tools over pneumatics because of the fact that an impact gun will shock the bolt free quickly (and effortlessly). Before you go any further, i recommend you soak the bolt in PB blaster, In Force, or any equivalent.

Good Luck

With that advice its currently soaking in PB. I was affraid to use the PB because I didn't want to get it on the strut at all, but I guess it can be cleaned off if it does get on there. We'll see, any other advice. Thanks.
