you can jack it up from the rear diff or the rear jacking points. i would not suggest using the gas tank

if you jack the car up from the rear diff dont worry about hitting the gas tank (which is the light blue thing at the back on the car). like i said before, put the jack stands on the jacking points.

my jack stands are not meant for jacking points.. they wont fit because of the side skirts.. theyre too wide.. theyre made for the chassis frame.. but i was wondering.. the blue frame in the back.. is that the gas tank? cuz theres 2 beams in the back.. the frame.. but im not sure whether to put it there.. another thing.. right under the arms of the suspension theres 2 black plates.. ive been using those with my floor jack.. would those be good jack stand places?

er...no it's not. The light blue thing is the well in the trunk for the spare. If you look up by the rear axels in that pic you will see small skid plates on either side of the diff....the gas tank is located above these. As far a putting jack stands, if you look under your side skirt you will see that there is a place at the front and rear (just behind the front tire, just in front of the rear tire) where the skirt's plastic ends. There should be a metal lip there with two ridges in it that is where the car's stock jack points are, hence where you can put jack stands.

there you go.

Red = jack points
blue = gas tank (which is not two pieces, but it goes OVER the drive shaft)

The red circles in the middle of the underside of the car are floor jack points to lift the rear or the front end of the car. To lift the rear, use the diff, you'll be fine using that. For the front there is a jack point just behind the end of the plastic splash pan.

The 4 points on the side of the car are for jack stands. There are 2 pinch welds per side (under the side skirts). you can use them or other suspension parts, but if you dont know what you are doing, use the welds.

Thats a rough how-to on jacking up a car. 90% of this is in your owners manual. I would suggest reading it (shocking i know), there is a LOT of good info on your car in it.

CAUTION: when you use the differential jack points make sure you get the foot of the jack on a nice flat piece of the underside of the differential case.

the rear differential, as you can see in your pic, has a flange and bolted-on cover. seems common sense to me but DON'T let the foot of the jack touch that area when jacking.
