Default How To: Refill A/C Coolant

I am feeling that my A/C isn't cold anymore. I am wondering if anyone know how to refill the A/C coolant

Just go buy a recharge kit from any car parts shop. Directions right on the can. Hook up to the low pressure side A/C lines (marked by an "L" on the cap, I believe its right next to the intercooler on the pass. side). Read the gauge on the can. Very quick and easy to do. Only takes about 10 min tops.

Edit:You should follow the instructions below and have it serviced professionally. I personally used the above method, but on an older beater car that I wasn't too worried about. On a newer vehicle you shouldn't need servicing yet, so that might be indicating another issue. I apologize for the confusion, I answered before thinking.

Default Refil A/C

This has to be done by a shop with a freon recovery machine
You have to vacuum down the system to remove moisture
You need to have someone check for the leak
It should not need freon

I am a hvac tech and I can tell you the above people are correct take it to a shop to be checked. The low output could range from low refridgerant to compressor to a bad drier.

Just because the output is low has nothing to do with how much is in there. In fact if you overcharge the system (can be dangerous) it will have a low output also since the boiling off action is delayed past the evap instead of in it.
