How to install the V-limited Rubber Protector?

How to install the V-limited Rubber Protector?

OK, I have the rubber protector taped with the supplied sticky strip onto the V Limited lip (uninstalled). The next step is to drill holes into the lip to push in the plastic fasteners to secure the rubber protector.

My question is how easy is it to drill into the lip? I am thinking the lip may crack. Anyone else with experience drilling into the V limited? How did you do it? I am thinking of placing a wood block underneath the area I plan to drill.

Anyone?

Just drill it, i used a metal drill bit and ran the drill at slow/med speed, no support underneath. no worries, the plastic is way flexible and shouldnt crack. just keep a strong guide hand on the drill.
Oh, and you might want to use nuts& bolts at a few key points for extra strength, i did that on both my 05 & 08, coz those plastic clips didnt seem to be worth sht.
