Default 07 back up camera

i'm trying to find a decent set up for a reverse camera for my 07 sti but i can't find a mount that works. the license plate frame deal is not an option, i don't like the way they look and the sti frames were too expensive to chuck.

i have the pioneer in dash nav deck that's camera ready (avicd3) but i can't find a camera set up that won't tear up the bumper.

anyone have one installed or know what's up?

maybe by the diffuser? make a little bracket and mount it around there or put it in the back window.

I used to work in the Mobile Video industry. A very popular solution was to mount in the keyhole location.
Not a wrx but you get the idea.

Woah, that camera in the keyhole pretty sleek looking.

would mounting it on/near the diffuser effect the use of it?

Most reverse cameras are threaded so you can remove the key cylinder and slide the camera into place. I Measured the OD of the key cylinder on my STi and its 1.25". Im sure the WRX is the same.
Take a look at Accelvisions the diameter is 1" so it should fit in the hole. it also comes with different angled rings to get the desired viewing angle.

Lucky for the WRX there is plenty of room behind the keyhole for running a/v cables. Pretty easy install for the mechanically inclined.
Thanks

Guys, I dunno if you ever removed the lock cylinder, but I have. The hole actually is not round. I would be quite impossible to fit any cam with out shaving the hole.

You can always make a trim ring out of black plastic that is wide enough for to cover the hole. Plus it will work as a gasket to seal out moisture from getting thru the hole

I came across this product on the net. Thought it might be a good alternative.

I got the same type as above, thinking i was going to put it in the keyhole. When I removed the lock, I found out that it was way too big to fit in there. So i put it to the right of my lic plate, kinda hard to see, but you get the idea. It works for what its worth.
