Am i to understand that the stars come apart from the backing? So if i wanted to do the backing black and the stars red would that be easily done?

Stars are painted on as well. Just take some paint thinner and a q-tip and start rubbing it off. Paint the stars your desired color and let it dry. Then paint the back the other you'd like and you are done. I say give it a couple of coats.

This might be a stupid question but what kind of paint did you guys use? Spray paint bottle or is there a specific kind to paint the emblem with? Thanks!
