IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2003 Trader Rating: (7) | Yeah alot of people do not feel comfortable mounting a donut flange to a flat flange. Really all you we do when we install them is take the donut flange put the gasket included with the kit and the flange of the downpipe and put them together. What happens is the ring from the mid pipe will pinch against the gasket and form a seal with it. I don't have any pictures of it. I will look around and see if I can find one for you. The problem is that if you buy a downpipe made to mount to the stock cat back if you upgrade to a different cat back you will need to make sure it has a donut flange which many don't. 95% off all aftermarket exhaust use the flat type flanges because they are easier to make and cheaper to make. So your options will be severely limited on what you can run. So really it is a trade off. The best thing to do would be to purchase a turboback all at once. But we understand this is not always an option for many people (including ourselves ) So we do have options that will work but are not optimal.Let me know if you have any questions. I feel like I have over explained the issue that could have been answered in 2 sentences but I hope it helps. Ben Quote:
