It appears to me from the attitude and apparent actions of the seller, he was under the impression that once a package leaves his door (no matter what the condition or likelyhood of a safe journey) that it was no longer his issue.

If nothing else, I hope everyone who has viewed this thread has learned that if you are shipping a product that CAN be broken, it needs to be insured (even though with the pictured packaging it would have been no help in this case). As a seller you should want to protect yourself from these types of situations. Maverick, I hope you are able to retreive your funds you deserve them.

The USPS wouldnt have covered the insurance on this item anyway. They clearly state the item was damaged when they received it. Therefore they would not have covered it. You would have thought they would have returned to the sender to be packaged correctly, thats what is disappointing. Thats why the post office is for sending letters not turbos. Leave that to the shipping companies that cover their neglect. They have a minimum amount of insurance to begin with and probably would not have accepted this item in the condition it was shipped.
Contact the authorities and file a claim, Im sure the clock is running out!

Now, for anyone who thought I was exaggerating, blowing this out of proportion and straight up accusing GREYSAVE of scamming, I believe the pics speak for themselves. Thank you to everyone who believed me and stuck by my side. I am very grateful for the sti community we have. Rob L. aka MAVERICK

greysave - you ****ed up big. i hope maverick gets all his money back AND then some for your stupidity. to try to screw someone over like that is tacky and classless. you deserve whatever happens as a result of this in court.

So it was damaged when it left my house huh? Make up your mind was it damaged in shipping or by me? Second off, seriously maverick, thats all the popcorn that was in the box? I find that interesting since popcorn filled over 50 % of the box, how is that proof after the fact. There is no evidence on how much popcorn I put in there, and you showing a few popcorns strewn across the floor is also not evidence. When the box let my possesion It sure didn't have that big giant hole at the top, so once again how did I damage it before shipping. Maverick, there was more popcorn in there then that there was also green popcorn in the box what happened to that?

And one last think, it sure didnt leave here unsealed, and the box that I used was in new condition, I did not ship the turbo in a box with a big hole in it. Notice the big hole on the top, it was sealed before it left here but that hole would explain where the popcorn went.

there are two stories and to me it seems that the truth is somewhere in between...

from what people have been posting, if it is true that the sender needs to file the claim for the damage shipment, then greysave just do the right thing and go there and file it yourself...

the sti community is a pretty closeknit community - no reason to cause drama when none is needed... file the claim and call it a day!

When I recieved the package thats exactly what it looked like. Somewhere between GA and NY it was recieved like that, and that post office put those stickers on it. I dont know what caused the hole but thats what was handed to me, and YES THOSE WERE ALL THE PEANUTS! Im not lying, I wouldnt make such a ridiculous charge...GREYSAVE we need to make something happen...If I take you to small claims court you would have to come to NY and you would lose! Lets handle this the civil way Please?...

If you wrapped a turbo in bubble wrap and tossed it into a box -- the box in the pictures -- with a bunch of packing peanuts as filler, then you did not package the item well enough.

A turbo will crush right through packing peanuts while the box is getting tossed around in handling. Also the box not made of heavy enough cardboard, and it is too big for a turbo. What probably happened is that the turbo itself broke the box from the inside.

You did a crap job of packaging. So how about you man up and make good on this deal. It sure sounds like Maverick is willing to do the same.

Sooner is better.

It wouldn't matter if it was insured or not. If it wasn't packaged correctly, they will not cover it. I just went through a dispute with ups. I shipped my heads out to be reworked. Wrapped them in like 3 big rolls of bubblewrap amongst other stuff. One of the heads got busted up and I was told they wouldn't cover it due to packaging.

This is correct. I've had the same thing happen. This is going to be strictly between the seller and buyer.
