Unless greysave has a spotty past regarding sales to other members that im not aware of then i think he deserves a fair shake at this not like what he seems to be getting right now.

First off I call troll on JDMCars4me. This whole situation is a bad one, but greysaves, in the interest of business and moral honesty you have an obligation to work something out with maverick so he's not out $800 because of what seems like a shipping dispute. You're on the defensive, he's on the offensive, but if the guilty party is the shipping provider lets help each other out, clean this thread up and get on with business.

JDMCars4Me

Your post about me does not even warrant a comment; so I will not waste any time addressing you. I am not talking sides. Both parties need to talk and help each other to resolve the situation with UPS.

Let's take a look at the pictures of the packaging before we make any more judgment. Everything said so far is just hearsay. Maverick, just set up a photobucket account and paste all the images.

Maverick there were exactly 24 popcorns huh or are you exagerating? I told myself I wasn't going to post here any more, but finally someone with some reason. How am I liable for what the shipper did. It seems you are most angry because I didn't insure, but Im sorry I didn't imply to insure it, nor was I ripping you off on the shipping as I have sold alot of things. If you can't see from the thread all is gone except the utec, and a few other things. If you wanted insurance you should have asked, but you didn't. How am I responsible for your failure to ask. The turbo was like I said bubble rapped and had popcorn in the box, how would you suggest shipping it then? Look at the box, it clearly was banged up in shipping and for you to call me a scammer for USPS dropping the box is crazy. Yea you got screwed over but it looks like usps screwed you over, and of course they are going to say it was inadequatley packaged it is easy for them to blame someone else. I have shipped my stock turbo out in the same fashion to Puerto Rico with no damage. I am truely sorry your turbo is broke, but it isn't my responsibility, you need to look to usps. All of you saying only the shipper can file a claim are full of it, I have family that works for usps. What kind of sense would it make for usps to say only the shipper can file a claim when the destination is the final receipt of the package. In conclusion usps through the **** around I didn't. It was just dropped it looks like it was thrown at a high velocity to do the damage that was done, but its not my job to figure out what usps did because all I did was ship it. This is the reason paypal closed your case because you have none, they nor I can help what happens via the shipper.

I used to be a package handler for UPS. Let me tell you from experience, anything that CAN be broken SHOULD be insured. As a package handler it is your job to move hundreds of packages onto (or off of) a tractor trailer as fast as possible. If you move slow, the entire line stops. Keep it up, you lose your job. Moral of the story? These underpaid/overworked people are moving packages at breakneck speed regardless of size or contents. Let me tell you also that stacking boxes from floor to ceiling in a 9' tall trailer so that some packages dont get squished/damaged is impossible. I figure I broke on average 1-5 packages per trailer. The motto is go fast, fix it later.
[/off-topic]

Im not here to take sides, but if you ship a package and it arrives in any condition other than described and you are unwilling to do what is necessary to make the situation right, then you deserve the title of scammer.

it is unreasonable to expect that greysave can protect the turbo from damage when being shipped unless he himself walks it over to maverick's house. this is why we put trust in the hands of the service transporting the package. it is completely reasonable to expect that you can send a package to someone and NOT have it get tossed around, banged up, etc. in the process of shipping

When USPS labels a package "UNSEALED, Received in Damaged Condition" then to me the sender is at fault. To me, this is incontrovertible evidence of the shipper's negligent packaging efforts. Greysave, if you think that this is acceptable, then you should consider resigning your account on our forum. I urge you to resolve this matter immediately.

Your account is at risk of being closed unless you can provide evidence to refute the above images, or you resolve this matter with the buyer.

Usually, we do not get involved on this level, but when pictures tell a side of the story that is difficult to refute,I have been known to make an exception to help protect our members.

He's already said that he doesn't care that he gets banned.

As for the pictures, I am completely siding with maverick. The packaging is atrociously bad. Greysave, would you be happy if you received a turbo packaged like that? Didn't think so. This is all on you.

+1 bazillion!
Try this link to file a complaint:
http://www.ic3.gov/
You can also file a complaint with whatever local law enforcement has jurisdiction in his area. This works! You definitely have grounds to do it.
I think the USPS label sez it all: "UNSEALED, Received in Damaged Condition"!
Whack! Guilty! Ban his arse so someone else doesnt get screwed.
