He can, i've won many ****ty ebay disputes and I always pay bank via paypal. It's at least worth a dispute, if you open a dispute and the seller doesnt reply for 30 days you win regardless anyway.. worth a shot

Well, true, but I was under the impression that he had already gone that route. If not, that's the obvious first step.

If it wasn't packaged properly so that it moved in the box the Post office is not supposed to take it. If he did it via drop-box at the Post Office, the Post Office should have returned it to him. Unfortunately most people don't have any integrity and would prefer to screw someone over and not take any personal responsibility. He should have packed it with more than peanuts, used a strong cardboard box and taped it with ribbed tape. I'll bet he chooses to continue to deflect blame, ignore you, and keep the money...

I did some background on greysave and all I see is For Sale threads started by this guy, plus the odd post here and there commenting on power mods. I also see that he has what appears to be a current For Sale thread going:

FS GA 4 utec, perrin fuel rails ect.

So we shine some more light on all this, and maybe we get a public discussion going. I think the IWSTI community deserves to know what happened here. For example: did any of the other folks in that thread have any problems with packaging or shipping?

EDIT: I would also recommend that you change the title of the thread to something that specifically names greysave. You can edit the title by editing the first post and selecting "Go Advanced".

I also recommend editing your title to reflect the user's name. I did you a favor and edited his other for sale thread to motivate him to resolve this dispute, or at the very least address the issue.

This is a crap situation. Greysave should have bucked up & bought the extra insurance & packed it so it was bomb proof, everytime I have shipped a turbo I make sure it's way over packed....last time I put the packed box inside of another box & insulated it. So yea, he is without a doubt to blame as well as USPS. If it was shipped via USPS you are automatically insured up to $500-, so you may want to check into that. After you see what they will give you, hit Grey up for the balance. Thats how I would play it.

Thank you thank you thank you.....You know exactly what im talking about BUT GREYSAVE went through the post office...besides that fact that it took almost 2 weeks to come from GA to NY, they accepted and shipped a box that was thinner than paper!

You need to give him a sellers rating in the negative too...that sticks with his username.
