The only other minor issue I have with the kit is that they don't provide a 2.25" up-pipe to header gasket (which is the up-pipe inside diameter), instead they use a stock or 2" gasket. Hopefully they get one procured soon so that potential step can be removed. FWIW my Grimmspeed PnP mainfold couldn't be ported more than 2" anyway.
It was said before in the other thread but Russ touched on it. T-bolt clamps work great but you can very easily crush aluminum piping. We have seen it hundreds of times before. In most cases it requires you to replace the pipe. As long as you have a good bead at the end of every pipe (like all of our intercooler kits) and long enough quality couplers you will not have a problem. We have had 700whp cars here with worm clamps and no problems.

As for the gasket, we simply don't provide it because of the many different headers out there. In this case Russ had his ported and there was no need for a gasket.

It also maintains boost all the way to redline and thus has nearly no horsepower drop off in the upper rpm range just like most of the larger turbo offerings.
Perhaps AMS can chime in and give some additional thoughts on how this turbo flows and compares to others.
The 750R turbo is a gt30R variant. It spools a few hundred rpm later then a standard 30R but is capable of making a 100whp more.

On pump gas this turbo is going to make about 20whp or so more then the 3076. Its not much of a difference but it doesn't run out of steam up top.

That was a 42R setup. We don't have anything for the STI that big.

Our 950R turbo is capable of 800-850whp on an evo. I would love to see what it can do on an STI.

did you all do anything to the powersteering line? I know on my 05, with my GT30R fitout, we had to go to a braided line because I was 25 lbs +. Im just curious, I dont see it in your list?

Yea true, that's because the 4G63 has been around alot longer then the EJ Motors, and most tuners are still learning about the EJ motors. plus you can run more aggressive maps on 4G motors.

Didn't get any, and the car's gone to turbo heaven...

Perhaps I should elaborat just a little. I hit some gravel coming into a really sharp curve and put the car in a deep ditch, totaling it (broke traction and slid). Sucks.

So lets get this correct. You crashed it after the turbo kit was on?

uh, yeah...sh!t happens...

FYI, the power upgrades didn't have anything to do with it, my breaking too late coming into a >90 degree curve on a road I'd never been on was more the culprit. Bad judgment and loose gravel FTL...
