IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2007 | Numbers Dyno: mustang Tuner: Chris@efilogics Wheel Hp: 389whp Wheel tq: 403wtq Ambient temp: 70f and raining Elevation: Approx. 500ft. Me and Ronin look almost like twins... lol . Here is a link to my run details. Run Details Upon turning 40 y.o. I longed for the feeling of power that i had from my 87 Iroc camaro and 90 lx 5.0 mustang. The sound of the subaru boxer always turned my head, and one day I took a lightly modded 06 sti for a spin......damm i thought , this would have killed my aforementioned camaro and mustang! So much for " just 4 cyl" . Anyway, after convincing my wife that it is all wheel drive and great in the weather I bought a 07 and thought that would be it. Well the mod bug bit and I went stage 2 with a tune from Chris at xx tuning. Then one year later awaiting back surgury I had a 20g and meth kit installed no thanks to my pal Dino. A re tune by Chris on the xx dynopack yielded 350whp and 380 wtq. Well here I am and having to explain to my wife yet another trip to Conecticut! Removed were the cobb catted dp, stock manifold/up, replaced by a swaintech coated Element Tuning Catless dp and Aps el headers. Also removed was the stock inlet and airbox replaced by a gimmick inlet/aft maf and ks tech 73 mm cai. The stock boost solinoid was also replaced with the grimmspeed ebcs. The car feels much stronger in the mid/ upper range and with the addition of the el headers it feels like the off boost response and drivability is better. As for the sound it is different but in my opinion not too much.... much quieter when cruising and more of a purr than a rumble. I'm planning on some sound clips if anyone is interested.Last edited by Mac; 08-03-2009 at 09:38 AM.. Reason: left out information |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 | looks like the combination of freeing up airflow to the turbo along with the 3 port bcs and the EL manifold really paid off. Have you made it out the the track before or after this particular tune? id be curious to see your trap speed. very nice results, thanks for sharing. cheers |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2007 | Really good numbers. That dyno is boderline heartbreaker too. In for the sound clips. How many miles on your 07? Stock motor right? |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2007 | I have 23,500 miles currently, went stage 2 around 2500. All internals are stock.... This is deff. my limit powerwise as I need to keep her around for a while...... the wife and the car. Swaybars and maybe wheels in the near future. This is on shell 93 octane. ATTI2D, will do. My friend has a built evo and I am looking forward to punishing him! As for times, I'm really not sure. I tend to baby the car so as to not break it. I'm looking forward to giving it a good flogging and the way it pulls it should post respectable numbers. |
