Hill's pro tune from Agile Auto Running on 93 pump no meth Thanks to this forum for all the great info, I have learned alot over past year or so on here. Here is the scoop, I went down with the new setup about two weeks ago and we had some maf turbulence with the harman inake at lower rpms (everything on the new setup was 3" except the 2.5" harman intake), then I went back and we tuned it for the P&L intake. As you can see we picked about 14 wheel horsepower from the intake alone, I'm happy with that. The first time around my intake temps were over 100 degrees, I then hacked up a Legacy air box to fit the new setup. On the road the intake temps are around 80 now. As for the tune, awesome as always from Hill. I think we are running around 21.5 psi and 11.5 or so afr. I think my catted downpipe and the 100 degree intake temps on the dyno are not helping the torque, but its seams like a pretty flat line. The car is a whole new animal now, it just keeps pulling and the external wastegate is loud as f.... It also sure feels like it spools faster now and its stays in boost better through the shifts. New Plot, base run with no Tuning on the P&L intake (yellow line). Im working now on getting more cold air to the new intake. Any ideas welcome. Thanks again Hill for sourcing the Turbulence issue. IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2008 | Fantastic numbers! I just got an 08 on Monday, flashed to Stage 1, and I am very tempted to go Stage 2 and it get protuned by Hill (got to finish breaking it in first)! I'm planning to just get an Invidia catless DP and keep the stock catback because I can't stand loud exhausts. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2008 | Nice! I also got tuned on a dynapack (and hate when people talk about it reading high...it is just a tool and we should only focus on before and after tune) My tq numbers were very similar but my hp was just under 300. I had stock exhaust though? I also experienced the same exact thing regarding my aem cai intake except my tuner couldn't even finish one baseline because of extremely lean conditions and audible detonation. I also feel bolting on any cai may not be the best idea w/o a tune Thanks for sharing! -Ray |

The catback is pretty loud. About as loud as an HKS high power but it’s very deep no rasp. Like SiRay6 noted we have about the same tq but mines pulling a few more ponies up top maybe due the catback. Only downfall is it did lose some of the sleeper style since it roars down the highway now.

I'm not the most qualified to awnser this, however I hear most guys saying the plugs give tuners a little head room for tuning espcially for hotter temps during the summer. Hill suggested them for a safety factor. I know intakes can help out alot, though finding the right one is the hard part.

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 | Have to love dual AVCS and some nasty stage 2 power at 3700rpm.. Stock and waiting for anything at 48-5k sucks.. Cant wait for my protune! |

| Professional STI Racer Feedback Score: 2 reviews | Congrats. Those are great results even considering the dyno. I am thinking along the same lines though with CAI I am looking at AEM or perrin(because they include a map for it). So the invidia is pretty loud? I could deal with a tad more noise than stock, but don't want to draw too much attention. |

As far as the invidia, when its cold and you start the car the windows and air vents in the house vibrate. It sounds more like 454 big block now (very deep).

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2008 | Ok I just scheduled a Stage 2 protune session with Hill (invidia catless DP, TurboXS intake which will both be installed at that time) next Saturday! I hope things go as smoothly for me as it did for you! I'll post up graphs afterwards |
