IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I'm trying to figure out why my whp seems so low for a stg 2 on 93 pump? Comments would greatly be appreciated!! |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | That's on a mustang dyno though. From my understanding, Mustang dyno's usually read lower than Dynojets. It just seems that with my mods I should be closer to the 300whp range. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Your whp #'s do seem low for your mods on a dynojet. I did 275whp and 308wtrq on a Mustang dyno with 93 degree ambient temp. and 91 octane and 2700 feet above sea level. mods are APS 65mm intake, 3 inch TBE and tune. You have higher octane, lower sea level, GM BCS and 255lph fuel pump, and a higher reading dyno....... I would talk to your tuner and find out why your whp #'s are low. |

But then again, 317tq is great and yes the 268whp is bit low but nothing to be disappointed about. If you want to sleep better at night. Wait for the winter and dyno again. You should be over 270whp. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | To be completely honest wtih you, those numbers are significantly low. Running stage 2 you should definitely be around the 300whp range. Im about to get my car protuned in a couple weeks and after talking to my tuner he and i have an understanding that my car will be running 300-310whp with all your mods exactly. Your tuner must have been very conservative with your timing numbers. Im not saying that 268 to the wheels is nothing, becuase im sure your car is very quick, its just that i know our cars can have A LOT more pushed out of them while being very reliable. |

All dynos read different everyone in the midwest knows P&L dyno reads low for a dyno jet. People like you are why i got a baseline, so when i put on my stage II parts and get protuned i can show you the whp/tq increase from the same dyno. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Good point. That is a surprisingly low reading though, I was unaware that even a dynojet will read 40whp low. To the OP: what were your baseline dyno numbers (Stock)? If you tell us those numbers, then it will probably be understandable as to why you are barely hitting 270 to the wheels. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I did 261 on a Dyno Dynamics and I am stage 1. Somethings off either that or it is a very conservative tune. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Yeah, im leaning toward a very conservative tune. Either that, or that dynojet just reads low numbers. Answer me this: is the car f**king crazy to drive compared to when you first got it? if so, then your probably at the right numbers hahaha |

IWSTI Addict since: Nov 2007 Trader Rating: (4) | Ambient Temp: 92.59 deg F There's your problem... Numbers are numbers though. The dyno plot looks fine to me... if the car runs smoothly, you have nothing to worry about. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
