Something cause the valves to bend, and caused pistons to hit valves on the left bank. Killed both pistons possibly the block, and probably the head.

Now, rebuild, or start fresh?

Any pics?

I wouldn't recommend a rebuild with motor damage like that because it's probably gonna be a time bomb. Hopefully you only need a shortblock because heads are $$$$. Have you checked out axis power racing? They have reasonable prices and a good rep.

Uh oh, sounds like you're gonna need a longblock. Maybe XX can hook you up with a deal or give you a discount on labor. Chris is a good guy so I'm sure he'll do whatever he can. If you do it on your own you're looking at about a 6-7K build so it's definately worth a shot.

Detonation caused the valves to bend??? I have never heard that before.

Can you please take pictures and email them to me.

Something just doesn't add up, like I said, I wish the car was brought to our place so I can take a closer look at the car and engine with my techs.

Thanks

Man this is just weird... This is some pretty hefty motor damage for the kind of power you are running. Some would say that your block was more then capable to handle that power.. I know you have 70K on the car but you did a compression test on the motor before the turbo and all. And the way it went is just odd your werent beating on it I mean its not like you were dragging the car and this happened.. I really cant imagine how you feel, I am sorry to hear this, is there any indication of how the valves bent?
