The dyno plot is from 6500 to 8500 RPM which is why there is more RPM than HP. There's always more torque than HP below 5252 RPM.

A lot of it is also how huge that turbo has to be.

For $15,000 in the motor, I would bet you would spend double!? Just for the long block to be set in the car!

Machining, at least: $4-5,000
Rotating assembly: $4,000-$6,000
Heads: $2-4,000+
Oiling: $1,000
Cams: $1,000+
Intake: $1,500 off the shelf, $2,500 exotic plus all fabbed up!
Misc parts: $2-3,000 including all gaskets, studs, etc....
Fuel items:$2,500+
Clutch: $1,500-4,500
Turbo: $4-6,000+

Now get the rest of the components ( exhaust, i/c, suspension, tuning, ems, cage, brakes )and add another $40,000+ all tuned ready to go.....

='s a really expensive car! $100,000's easy

Wayno,

Axles & 1/2 shafts($1,000), suspension($3500 installed), wheels tires ($3000), cage ($2500+), big brakes ($2000), driveshaft ($700), hydra engine management($2000), HUGE i/c with piping ($1500+), true 4 inch exhaust and custom headers( $2000+), tuning($1000), water and meth kit ($500), a REAL transmission AKA Dog Box ($12-15,000), gauges ($1000), race seats($1000), Harness ($250), misc parts ($2000), and additional instillation costs ($3-5000) = Ranges from $39,000 - $44,000 in supporting parts, + engine costs of $30,000+ (complete engine; turbo, fuel system, plus cost of car $33,000= $103,000+

This would be for a TRUE race car built by a shop, not a cobbed car that has been band-aided together. Capable of low 9 second passes, and that will do so safely, pass tech., and could be street driven with over 1,000 Crank HP.

$100,000 seems a reasonable completed cost. Don't forget that off the shelf parts won't go this high in HP consistantly = high fabrication costs.......

have any specs of that turbo? find it odd that it took 55psi to make that power and still spooled that late. i have a gt4202 sized turbo on my car and is full spooled by 5500rpm on a stock block and heads? and people have made more then 900whp with a 4294r with less then 55psi?

Well you must remember, stock Subaru STi's on our dyno put down 200whp. So the increase is +600whp over stock. The turbocharger specifications will be posted in due time. If you would like we are building a 800+whp STi for the company. We have posted it in the journal section, the Corporation does not mind the step-by-step build. Check it out!

im not new to turbos and with the amount of lag and running that amount of boost doesn't make sense? like i said i have a turbo on my car that will make that number when my motor is done and has already on other peoples cars. is this on a auto? don't see how its such a secret when you post a thread about it?

oh and i have seen that other thread. their is nothing in it yet?

Yea I have to agree with fobiawrx that turbo doesnt seem like anything amazing if it spools worse than a gt4202r and needs to run 55psi to make that kind of power regardless if you guys use a dyno dynamics.
