That's a LOT of boost for that little power, that turbo should make between 900-1000whp with that much boost in it. Out of curiosity what did it make on 40lbs?

On a higher ready dyno such as a dyno jet, you are correct with the WHP statement. But on our dyno this will not happen. The 42R is rated for
1000HP flywheel, it is impossible for it to make 1000WHP. That would mean you have ZERO drivetrain loss.

Or it could be underrated...? By that statement you're saying that a GT35R can't make over 550whp.

An AMS Evolution 8 made 974whp through the GT42R

You are still missing the point. On our dyno, the vehicle puts down 200whp bone stock. So with that turbocharger we made a 606whp increase. Again, this is also a hybrid turbocharger on this vehicle which was mentioned earlier in the thread.

On AMS dyno, a stock evo puts down 270-280whp. So if you made 380whp, that is a 100whp increae over factory.

Comparing and EVO to an STi is apples to oranges.

You were questioning the turbochargers ability to make a certain amount of power buddy.

I think you are mistaken.

I was stating the turbcharger is rated 1000hp, so can not make 1000whp.

Some dynamometers (dyno) read different/higher than others.

You're saying a turbo rated to 1000 "crank" hp can't make close to 1000whp.. lol I'm telling you and showing you that you're mistaken.

I understand that. Here is another way to look at what I am saying. A Subaru STi is rated 300hp flywheel. So there for it can not make 300hp @ the ground.

Your argument is that you have seen it make this power at the ground. I am simply stating that the HP you are claiming was on a higher reading dyno.
