IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | YouTube - STI GT35R 1/4 mile pump + meth 1st pass on new set up! I got two runs tonight. First pass was pretty clean, but conservative. I just wanted to make sure I made all my shifts. These passes were both on the pump + meth tune. We had to install a new clutch today to be able to make this track night happen. I was able to get about 140 miles on the clutch before the passes. 1st pass 60 ft 1.693 330 4.843 1/8th 7.375@95.82 1000 9.542 1/4 11.370@124.34 2nd pass I bogged the launch, but was able to shift much faster and I also stayed in 4th through the traps instead of shifting into 5th like the first run. 60 ft 1.771 330 5.063 1/8th 7.613@96.57 1000 9.774 1/4 11.579@125.54 This ad is not endorsed by this member. What RPM are you leaving at? Any launch control? Lastly, how much boost on launch? Mike

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | I'm launching at 6800 on the two-step, no wheel hop when I get it right. I am adjusting my shift points between 7300-7600. The burnout felt like I was bouncing off of the rear bump stops since I just changed my springs. I'm not sure how much boost I have at the launch, I haven't really had the time to look at all the gauges during the process...It goes by pretty quick. |

Are you running slicks or DOT cheater slicks? I have heard that slicks will GREATLY reduce the driveling shock to these cars!? You are easily at the 10 second 1/4 mile times with a little more fine tuning, and your race gas map! I hope I can make it to the track in/by Sept. with my Subaru.......? Mike

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | Well, I only have two runs with the new set up. If I get some practice, I'm sure times will drop. I'm also sure they will drop a lot when I run on race gas. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
