It does things like measure g forces during breaking, accelerating, and cornering. also can tell you estimated whp and 0-60's and 1/4 mile times, and much more. I think it does it with an accelerometer and/or a gyro-meter. pretty cool for keeping track of approximate improvements to your cars performance after a mod. both power and handling. definitely worth the money. they're all over ebay. its the passport escort GT2 g-timer. I think that's the newest version. or you could ball out and get the G-tech pro which is like 200+ |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (3) | Cool! does it matter where its placed in the car? cuz I wanna tuck it some where discrete and hard wire it to the fuse box. No wires hangin around for me is setting and calibrating all the parameters hard? |

It will calibrate to compensate for being slightly off, but it also comes with a little windshield mounting bracket with suction cups. Hard wiring it would probably be a pain since the cig plug adapter has a couple lights and a button that you need to access to change to the different modes. You could maybe mount it down near your radio, but I like being able to pull it out and put it in my other cars as well. I can't wait to see what my 440 Dodge Dart does for 0-60. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | This weekend I finally had some time to take some updates pictures and to loom all the wiring and W/I lines. I think it turned out really clean. The only thing that still bothers me is the line from the air to oil separator going over the turbo blanket. ![]() All the pictures you could ask for... #67 430HP 93 Pump 516HP C16: 2007 Subaru STI Limited Edition #67/800 GT35R Thanks to Andrewtech and Turbo XS - Springfield, Virginia Last edited by TAPOUT; 05-19-2008 at 05:33 AM. |
